Daughter of Poseidon Book 2: New Friends

Chapter 1: Been awhile

I felt like I was away, from home from family and friends, especially from my life. Ever since we moved to our new house everything was different, how my parents acted and how I felt. I haven't had frequent dreams of Luke and Kronos and the war all I have felt is different like I should be protecting someone or something. I didn't know what it was or what the feeling was all I know is that today I am almost a 7th grader yet I am very far from being 13 I mean really today June 4 and my birthday was a month ago so you can't really blame me.
I woke up with the sound of my mother saying that breakfast was ready and that I should start getting ready for the day before summer vaca and with Apollo coming through my window it was easy to get up. Whenever I see the sun it reminds me about Jake, my friend who is a son of Apollo who I might have a crush on, but it's not the time to talk about it.
I looked around my room, I sitting up in my bed with zebra prints, next to me was my blue bed stand, a few feet away from that was my walk in closet, then there was my door, then my drawer,I got ready with my blue vest hoodie, a purple shirt, ripped shorts and my hair down like I usually have it. I walked half way in the hallway to the bathroom where I combed my wavy crazy brown hair and washed my face. Next to the bathroom in the hallway is my brother's room and all the way at the end of the hallway is my parents room. I went downstairs to eat my oatmeal and my brother was already doing his exercises routine with my dad. Gabe has come home about a month ago. This year me and Gabe have tried our best to be fit, well mostly me who tries to. Gabe is better because he can do that kind of tough things because his godly dad is Ares so he is better than everyone with sports and fighting.
Anyways I was eating my oatmeal when a rainbow appeared in front of me and in the rainbow was Jill with a tanktop and a jean jacket, headphones, and a beanie. If I was trying to guess she probably trying to be a young adult human. I say human because she is a satyr, goat from the waist down and human in the waist up. She was saying that her little brother was missing that I need to help her and that she is very scared. "Please Olive you have to come,"she said with a scared look on her face. "Ok, breath Jill, breath and tell me what happened," I said calmly so she would feel like her brother is all right. She said that when Grover went on his trip to find Pan she has sensed that he has got himself into trouble with a monster. I said that I will help her find Grover tomorrow or maybe even today if something wrong happened. She thanked me and end our rainbow call, by this time mom was ready to go to school/work. With her auburn hair and dark brown eyes she said that we had to "hurry up so that after school we can go to the library," I was wondering why she said we were going to the library because today was the day we pack for going to camp-halfblood. I didn't lay much on her because we were already in a hurry.
When I got to school everyone was chattering about signing yearbooks and the school picnic we are having today. I walked to my pod area and sat with my best friend. Samantha is a short and skinny girl with long blond hair and blue eyes, she is always there for me even when I got attacked by a griffin. Now that was a weird day . She is a daughter of Aphrodite and is really pretty, but she is more fighting than actual "Hey look at me. Look how pretty I am" Aphrodite girls. Through the intercom the principle came in saying that today was the last day and that "6th graders come to the big gym to start our fun last day". I rolled my eyes just thinking that Percy might say that.
My class and the other classes were coming out and I kept thinking about my other half-brother Percy. If you haven't guessed it I am a demigod, half god half human and my dad is Poseidon, and Percy is my half-brother yet he gets all the glory, I don't mind yet I want to be noticed at least one time maybe more. Anyways when we got down there everyone was sitting in the bleachers me and Samantha all sat with our other friends and it was fun until I saw her. Yes her the girl that every guy wants to date just because she is pretty. I mean really she may have brown silky hair and blue eyes yet she doesn't have the personality that I do I mean really she is an Abby. No not Abby my pegasus but Abby Krishna. She gives me a weird vibe and I have to see her for two more years. Ugg why, as I was in my thoughts teachers were saying kids names to get their yearbooks suddenly one teacher said my name and I came down the bleachers stairs all elegant to show that I have confidence in myself. Nobody even noticed but I don't really care what these people think about me. The only person that I want to impress is my Father, he is that only one that I care about what he thinks about me.
As I was getting closer to the teacher I felt like someone was giving me a stink eye. I looked over my shoulder and saw that Krishna looked away abruptly and started to talk to one of her popular friends. Ok that is really creepy why would Abby be looking at me it's not like I am one the top of the middle school food chain. Anyways the teacher gave me my yearbook and I thank him and walked back to my group of friends.
