Secrets and Darkness

Chapter 2

I awoke to the sound of Rustling leaves and light paw steps. My eyes slowly opened to see three wolves in front of me there eyes menacing. I whimpered softly and curled tighter into a ball. One of the wolves growled at the one standing to its right and it ran off out of the cave probably to get the Alpha so that he could kill me. I laid there there looking pitiful and weak waiting for my death. A few minutes later the wolf came back I looked up slightly from were I lay and my eyes widened. The biggest wolf I had ever seen stood in the mouth of the cave. My wolf seem to be very excited to see him. He walked farther into the cave and I got a better look at him. He had midnight black fur that seem to move like a black sea his scent was of pine needles mixed with a earthy scent. It was like heaven but my heaven turned to hell when I  got to his eyes they were the color of crimson blood and they held no emotion. I whimpered softly and tried to scoot farther into the cave, but my wounds stopped me. He frowned and walked over to me and stood over me making me whimper more. He then surprised me and shifted back to his human form which took my breath away. His human form had his same black hair and red eyes and his body was of a god. He has a six pack! He looked down at me and the next thing he said made me gasp in surprise. He bent down and growl " mate"
I stared at him in shock and fear all at once. This is my mate there is no way he is going to want a rogue like me I though he is going to reject me he will leave me. I whimpered softly to myself, he looked down at me and scooted closer " mine" he growled and I looked up in shock. He wasn't rejecting me he was being possessive he wants me he wants me! I looked up at him hoping to see soft eye but my eyes were met with emotionless eyes which confused me. " shift" he snarled and I shrunk away from him in fear he growled louder " shift!" He shouted I wailed in fear and even with my wounded body stood up and sprinted out of the cave but he was faster then me and shifted and tackled me to the ground and growled in my ear. I howled in pain as he landed on top of me and I saw a little regret flash in his eyes and he stepped off my quickly touching his nose to my face in concern. I tried to get to my feet but the pain only allowed a crouch he saw this and walk to my side allowing me to use his shoulder as support. I leaned on him gratefully as I struggle to stand up straight. Once he saw that I was stable he moved away and return to his emotionless state. I whimpered softly and took a step toward him missing his warmth but he growled deep in his throat turning to the others he growled orders and they will walk toward me. I crouched ready to attack if they gave me a reason but two of them stood on either side of me helping me to stand and one student front as they began to escort me back into the woods.   I was too tired to argue and feeling heartbroken that my mate stepped away from me he stood in front as I was led into the woods.
