Secrets and Darkness

Chapter 4

My eyes opening slowly allowing them to adjust to the dark of the room. I lifted my head to look around. I was still in my mates room I look over to see he had moved closer. I moved slightly but this made him growl and move his black furry head onto my paws and I flinched as he moved to get comfortable before sighing. I sat there watching him sleep then growing bold slowly placed my head on top of his. This was a mistake because he jumped up with a snail. I wailed in fear and ran to the bathroom and pushed the door closed locking it. I ran to a corner and slide myself into the space between the tub and the wall. I lay there on the floor trembling a little. " Hey" I heard a soft voice at the door. I closed my eye hoping he would go away but he continued " let me in " he said demanding I just slide farther into the space. I flinched as I heard the door slam open and I look to see the black wolf standing in the doorway staring at me. I closed my eyes not wanting to see him but it was no use I could feel him eyes on me. I heard his paw steps as he walked over to me. His nose touched my back and I flinched in fear and his nose moved off me. " I'm sorry " he said but I didn't look at him. " baby, please" he pleaded softly. When I didn't move I heard a sigh and then he shifted again and laid down in the floor next to my and laid his head on my back making me flinch. We laid there for a long time before he stood up and touched his cold nose to my back then walked off. I looked back to see that he saw gone and walked slowly to the door and peaked out. He was walking around the room getting ready and was now in a pair of dark blue jeans and a tight black t shirt that showed off his muscles and six pack. As he more to the other side of the room I slowly moved out of the bathroom and walked cautiously toward the bed. I looked over at him again to see that he was staring at me not moving so as not to scare me off. I stopped and stared at him for a moment before slowly moving toward him. He didn't move only watched me as I slowly made my way toward him. I stopped in front of him and he put his hand out; I looked at it before slowly leaning my head out to sniff it taking in the same forest scent as before. I then remembered what happened the last time I was this close to another werewolf which had earned me a large scar on my back. I jumped back and ran back to the bed and curled up into a protective ball and closed my eyes. " why are you afraid of me?" He asked his voice sad " I am your mate my name is Hunter Williams I am the alpha of this pack Hollower Moon" I didn't move and he sigh " I will be back tonight to see you then." Then I heard foot steps then a door closing.
Ispent the rest of the day laying on the bed sleeping a little here and there but mostly thinking of my mate who I can learned name was Hunter. I walked over to bathroom and looked in the mirror. My black wolf stared back at me. I sigh and walked over to the door to see that Hunter had not closed it all the way. I pushed it open and looked down the hall, no one was there so I walked out and started my way back the way we had come. It was surprisingly easy to find my way back to the door that let outside. I open the door with ease and made my way out side. I looked around and saw that there was no one around so I ran off into it's the way that we came so I could find my way to where my stuff was. I wasn't running away I was just going to pick up my things. I ran back to the cave and found my bag with my belonging and then started back to the house. I had not realized how late it had become the sun was slowly sinking beneath the hill through the woods. As I made my way to the house I heard yell and crashing coming from behind it. I walked up to it and listened. " Where did she go?!" Hunter shouted and you heard a crash and flinched " I-I'm sorry Alpha I walked into the room and she was gone." " Well go find her!!" Hunter shouted. At this moment i thought it would be a good moment to enter so I open the door. Hunter and the other person turned and then stood wide-eyed at you for a moment before Hunter rushed to you. "where have you been i've been worried sick!" You squirmed uncomfortably and then held up your bag that was in your teeth and wiggled it around. Hunter glared down at you " why will you not shift and talk to me?" He said sadly. I looked up at him and shook my head rapidly giving him pleading eyes. there was no way I could shift there was no way. " why?" I shook my head again then ran up to our room. Throwing my bag to the side I climbed on the bed and curled up and close my eyes. Letting the Forest scent of my mate start to calm me After a long while I heard the door open and smelled hunters sent. " hey" he said quietly" I'm going to ask you some yes and no questions you can stay where you are I just need you to answer them please for me" I open my eyes and looked up at him ready to answer his questions. " are you rogue?" I shook my head yes."can you shift?" I shook my head no. " are you saying that because you won't shift or that you can't?" You looked at him sideways. "sorry shake your head once for the first answer or's twice for the second answer" I shook my head twice. " why?" He said looking sad. I whimpered and put my head down and closed my eyes. " I don't hate you ok?" He said patting my head sending comforting tingles done my spin making my shiver. I nodded and he sighed then shifted so he lay on the bed " do you hate me?" He asked. I looked into his eyes and moved closer placing my forehead against his and closed my eyes. I heard him release a breath he had been holding . I opening my eyes and moved away then I grow bold again a walked over and pulled on his shirt. He looked confused but followed so he was laying on his side on the bed. He stared at me but his eyes started to grow heave. I moved closer and put my wolf head on his arm and licked his cheek. He smiled " thank you " he mumbled then closed his eyes.
I opened my eyes and yawned big. I looked down to see Hunter had not woke up yet. I licked his cheek making him stur. " good morning baby." He yawned and I barked in reply. He smiled " hey do you want to go to work with me today?" I barked and wagged my tail. He smiled and started to get ready. I waited patiently by the door until he was ready. We walked into the hallway and made our way to his office. On our way I receive stares from everyone making me move closer to Hunter. " they are only curious of you in wolf form." Hunter explained. I nodded and we continued toward hunters office. When are you reached it Hunter open the door and my eyes widened in shock."hello Hunter baby I missed you." A blond girl came up to Hunter pressing her body up against his sneaking her arms around his waist. I stared in shock and for Hunter could say a word I raced off down the hall. " wait!!" I heard Hunter showed but I didn't I ran and ran out the door into the woods and I kept going until my paws couldn't carry me any longer. I stopped at the lake panting I stared out of the water the moon rising above it. I never felt so broken before so empty you think it would be easy I had been broken before in many different ways physically and emotionally but nothing like this. This hurt emotionally almost enough to be physical pain I whimpered and walked over to a rock that stood next to the lake. I curled up and close my eyes I didn't care what happened next you didn't met my mate have betrayed me. " hey" a voice whispered it sounded just as broken as mine would've been and by the forest sent I knew exactly who it was. I didn't look up I just kept my eyes closed hoping he would just go away."please Chloe means nothing to me she is the pack slut and will go after anything that will come after her she's been after me for a couple weeks nothing more we've done nothing nothing is happened please believe me baby." I looked up and was startled defined that he was crying tears stream down his face."please don't leave me please don't reject me it would kill me."he said and for the first Time I heard him whimper he looked at me I was full of sorrow almost making me want to cry with him. I immediately forgave him reaching up I licked a tear from his cheek. He looks so broken why did he look so broken at my gesture he closed his eyes and lay down as is exhausted. He sigh and I curled up next to him and we slip there until the sun came up.
