"But mum!" Michael yelled from his bedroom.

"That's final! Your taking Ariel to prom and that's it!" His mom yelled from downstairs.

Meet Michael. A rainbow haired, video gamer. His mom doesn't understand what he wants. She doesn't understand what he needs.

Michael attends a Christian high school ( A/ N: True Fact I Believe ).

He has a few friends that understand him. Ones name is Calum. Calum is the best. To Mikey. He knew what Mikey liked.

Michael sat on his bed. This is useless... She doesn't understand me... Michael muttered. He opened his window to go sit on his roof. He called Calum.

"Hello?" Calum picked up.
"Hey. Can you come over?" Michael asked.

"Oh sure. I'll be right over." Calum said, hanging up.

A few minutes later, Calum was here. Michael explained everything.

"So, Ariel wants me to go to prom with her. But for some reason, no girl has stuck out to me. So I declined and she got angry. She called my mum and complained. So now my mum is trying to force me to go to prom with Ariel Kat Jones." Mikey told Calum, making disgusted noises through out.

"Wow. Harsh. I don't think I'm even going to prom." Calum said. Michael wrapped his arm around him.

"Well nothing video games can't fix." Michael said, turning on his PlayStation. Calum laughed as they games on.

Half way through, the door bell rang. Michael's mom opened the door and said that him and Calum where upstairs. Michael heard this and motioned Calum to move out onto the roof of his house, out his window. Calum laughed again and climbed on the roof.

Their bedroom door opened.
"Mikey!!" Sang a girly voice. Michael sighed quietly.

Ariel... He thought. He climbed back through the window.

"Hi." He said. Calum let out a big sigh. Neither of them liked this blonde haired, brown eyed girl. She was so annoying...

"Hi! Mikey-Wikey!" She yelled, jumping onto him. Trying to keep himself from falling, Michael wrapped his arms around Ariel.

"Look!" She yelled, pointing to her bangs that where... Green...? That did not complement her eyes or hair or anything. She just looked stupid...

"I did it for you, Mikey!!" She yelled. Michael half smiled as Calum was about to burst out laughing. The funny thing was... Michaels hair wasn't green anymore. It was blonde and black...

"You didn't use... Permanent... Hair dye, did you...?" Michael asked. He used temporary but re dyed it often.

"Oh, I did. It will stay in better." Ariel said, running her fingers through her bangs.

She pulled out her phone.

"Well, I have 10 minutes to suggest what we should wear to prom." She said. Calum sat in the back, kicking his feet up.

----

Ariel was walking out. Calum laughed and laughed as Michael turned a bright shade of red.

"I did it for you Mikey! Hilarious!" Calum imitated. Michael swatted at him.

"She looks ridiculous!" Calum laughed.

"I can't believe my mum wants me to go to prom with that..." Michael said.

"Eh... It won't be that bad." Calum said.

---

Three days later the weekend was over and it was back to school. Michael walked in and found his locker. He opened it then someone slammed it on his front two fingers.

"Ah! God! Seth!" He yelled, turning around to see Seth Pro, the jock of the school standing behind him. A group of cheer leaders stood behind him.

Seth snickered.

"Now, where's my money, Clifford?" He asks.

"What money? I owe you nothing." Michael said. Seth looked at one of the red headed cheerleaders.

"You know what I mean..." Seth said, holding out his hand. Michael sighed. He knew what happened last time he didn't give Seth his lunch money... He handed Seth his lunch money for the week.

"Thank you." Seth said, walking away. Michael's fingers hurt so badly. They where still in his locker.

"Calum!" He yelled. Instead, the small ( A/N : For Now ) Luke Hemmings walked over.

"Hi Michael. Do you know how Ashton's doing with trying to get our album released?" Luke asked.

"No. But can you help me, please..." Michael moaned. Luke unlocked his locker and walked Michael the the nurses office.

"Yup... That's a break." She told Michael. Crap... How was he going to record music...?

"How did this happen?" The nurse asked.
"Um... I fell in the stairwell." Michael said. She nodded.

"I'll call your mum."

Michael went home with three broken fingers and a sprained pinky. After school, Calum and Luke both came over. Ashton was in school. Good thing Ariel didn't know about this yet.

"So, Seth did this?" Calum asked. Michael nodded.

"Don't tell my mum. I told everyone I tripped in the stairwell." Michael said, trying to tie back is wrap on his hand.

"Well, how are we going to get a signing now?! Our lead bass player has a broken hand!" Luke said.

"Maybe now I don't have to go to prom..." Michael thought.

"What?! Your not going to prom?!" Luke yelled.

"I am. But I don't want to." Michael said.

Luke and Calum went home after that, deciding it was time to go home. Michaels mom called for him down stairs. Dinner was ready.

Michael sat down. Everything was quiet since it was just him, his mom and his dad.

"So Michael, how was school?" His father asked.

"I only stayed for about .3 seconds dad. Out of that, it was okay until I tripped in the stairwell." Michael said, scooping greens onto his plate.

"So are you really taking Ariel to prom?" His dad asked.

Michael slammed his hand on the table and stomped upstairs.
