"I believe that if life gives you lemons, you should make lemonade... And try to find somebody whose life has given them vodka, and have a party."

Arthur stood at the doorstep of the American's home. The backyard had a few snowmen (one or two were actually real, dressed like superman and batman. Otherwise the third was fake.) and the house was all neatly wrapped up in lights, almost looking like an ad. Gift in hand, he nervously pushed at the doorbell.

Nervously?

He waited outside, slight clouds puffed at his face as he let out a sigh. The door swung open, and there stood his host, a big smile on his face as he invited his guest in. "So, you're the first one here, and I still need to set up a little. Mind helping?" Arthur snapped out of a daydream. He was now looking at Alfred's sky blue eyes, a blush a little stronger than before warming up his cold cheeks.

"Huh?Oh, y-yes, alright." The Brit tried ignoring the somersaults in his stomach. "Thanks bro!" He received a slap on the back from the other nation, making him emit a weak smile. "Alright so I'll hang up the snowflakes and if you could set the table, that'd be great!" Pointing to a small table (obviously not a dining one) Alfred got out a sleek red tablecloth so the other could dress the furniture with it.

The table looked nice. There were candles and other decorations on the cloth that really told you it was the Christmas season. A sudden crash was heard from the living room, where Alfred was hanging up the snowflakes. Rushing to the commotion, Arthur saw the American, stool he was using tipped over, and the blue-eyed boy on the ground. "Oh no, I have fallen and can't get up!" Alfred gave a small laugh reciting the LifeAlert slogan as his friend helped him to his feet. "Seriously though, you need to be more careful!" Arthur said, blush from touching Alfred slowly fading. Looking up at the ceiling, green eyes wide with awe, paper snowflakes hung from there and were neatly taped to the walls.

It was quite beautiful actually. "Hey ya did a really nice job on this!" he heard the other nation say from the table he was working on earlier. A small smile slapped his lips as he thanked the American for the compliment.

Then, people started arriving, and the house looked full after a few minutes.

The Christmas songs on the stereo Alfred put up really threw the holiday mood around.

"What's this? What's this?
There's color everywhere
What's this?
There's white things in the air"

It was pretty colorful in the house, with all its decor and paper snowflakes in the air. The lonely Brit could like something as pretty as this in his own house on holidays.

"What's this?
I can't believe my eyes
I must be dreaming
Wake up, Jack, this isn't fair
What's this?"

Arthur really couldn't believe his eyes. He watched America talk to other nations and have fun dreamily, almost telling himself to wake up at the Americans gorgeousness.

"What's this? What's this?
There's something very wrong
What's this?
These people singing songs"

Was it wrong? Arthur thought to himself. To be feeling this about someone? About Alfred?Slightly drunken Prussia and Spain started to sway and babble along, almost singing to the music.

"What's this?
The streets are lined with
Little creatures laughing
Everybody seems so happy
Have I possibly gone daffy?
What is this? What's this?"

Everyone in and out of the party seemed to be enjoying themselves. Arthur wanted a mood like this in his empty house more than anything. And there was only one person he could think of that could accomplish that-His dear host.

The song went on, and the Brit found himself smiling at the lyrics. No-at a certain American, who smiled back. Snapping away from his gaze for the millionth time as the blue-eyed nation came up to him, he declined in joining the game of truth or dare that was going on. "Aw c'mon Iggy, please! Pretty please?" Alfie's puppy dog eyes could melt even the coldest person on the face of the planet. "...I'll play." The British man said with a sigh as he went over to a circle of seated nations around a couch. The first few minutes were pretty funny, Lovino actually confessing that he actually liked Antonio.
"So, you picked truth, right?ok, hmmm..." Hong Kong thought for a moment, a small grin on his face as he said the following-"Arthur, is it true you have a crush on America?" The Brit's eyes widened as his face went as red as the tablecloth he'd set earlier. He saw the same reaction on his crush as well.
"...I-it's actually true...I do have a crush on Alfred..." The blonde green-eyed nation smiled amid the roses on his cheeks. America buried his face in his hands, smiling as everyone around them made whooping noises and wolf howls.
"Well Artie...I've actually wanted to tell ya somethin'...I really like you too..." The other nations were going wild at the couple, hugging and nudging the two playfully. There could not have been any blush deeper than Arthur's at that Christmas party.

"So uh, is it ok if I walked you home?" The blush had faded from the Brit's face. Now that he had finally confessed his love for the other, it felt like a weight had been lifted from his chest.

"Oh it doesn't bother you to, does it?" Although he confessed, he still felt a little nervous around the American. "Nah man, and anyway, I'd love to actually..." Arthur was the last to leave since Alfred wanted to talk to him after the party. And this was it.
Taking their coats, they started to walk a few steps out of the house. The night was gorgeous. It was pretty late, the Christmas lights and decorations lighting up the night sweetly. "Wow...it's breathtaking, isn't it?" Alfred slipped his hand into Arthur's and said something that The British man could never forget.
"Not as breathtaking as you."
