The Beginning

Ally sat on her bed on her phone like any teenage girl. She was scrolling through her Instagram, trying to find more people to follow. She came across a boy who ran track and followed him and he commented on one of her pictures. Ally replied "You run for Terry Parker?" She asked. Luckily he did and Ally asked about the boy on their team that ran the 100m dash and always came in first place. "Oh, Quintin he exclaimed?" And to Ally's surprise the boy tagged Quintin into the post.
All three of them sent back and forth underneath Ally's photo talking about tomorrow's track meet at Sandalwood, Ally's school. The boys ganging up on her said she probably wasn't even fast and that they surely would watch her run the 400m dash tomorrow. Ally was very confident and told the boys she would come in first and they would see that she could run way better than the other girls out there.
The next day came and Ally and Quintin had been messaging each other that whole morning and planned to try and meet up. Ally's first event was long jump. This was probably her best event by far. As she was doing her run through she wandered her eyes to the right and saw an unfamiliar face by the pit it wasn't until after she ran through that she noticed it was Quintin. He was watching her perform every event. Ally quickly became nervous, but knew she had to stay focused in order to come out on top. Her first jump was only about 16' 5 1/2". All the other girls were like wow she's good, but in Ally's head she knew that wasn't acceptable. Ally knew she wouldn't except anything under 17' this season.
See the sad part about this is that nobody truly understood why Ally was frustrated with such a great jump. Only people who were as competitive as her would and could understand why this was not good enough in her eyes. However her second jump was 17'1". All Ally could do was smile and three of her teammates congratulated her. Ally PR'd and that's all that mattered to her.
Ally ran over to the starting line to watch Quintin run the 100m dash. She knew he was going to win, but wanted to show her support. The gun went off and Quintin bursted out of the blocks only leading to another victory. Ally smiled huge and grabbed her phone.

"I guess you're good" she posted underneath the picture they had been commenting under.

That's when it all started...
