Chapter 3
~
Screwing up is my middle name
~"Come on, it couldn't have been that bad." Brea said, shaking her head in disbelief.
"Yes it was!" I puffed out, taking an aggressive bite out of my pizza.
"Every single time I asked my mom or dad to pass me something, he gave me a lecture about how I should say please because 'you have to show respects to your elders'. My mom kept telling me how I should be more like Kai. She has no idea about half the shit he does! He's not even a virgin! I am. It was the most annoying thing ever!" I almost screamed, throwing my pizza back on the plate, replaying the memory in my head.
I realized people staring at us and I scowled, "what the hell are you looking at? Haven't you seen a pissed of girl before?!" They quickly turned away. So much for trying be like Cinderella.
"You know, you say that every single time, that it was the most annoying thing ever?" Ivana spoke, a piece of crust falling out of her mouth.
"Well that's because every single time he gets more annoying!" I said, moving my hands all over the place. I don't know why I do that when I'm angry, but I do.
"Hottie, one o'clock." Brea coughed, looking down. We all looked at him and God damn he was hot! He had that kinda school boy charm to him. You know with the light brown hair and green eyes. But this boy had dimples, which is a plus in my book! He looked built but not in that 'I'm a body builder' type of way but in that 'I play sports' kinda way.
"Go talk to him!" Cara urged. "Why do I have to?! Why don't you guys talk to him?" I frowned.
"Um, maybe because we all have boyfriends and you don't?" She said like it was the most obvious thing. Well it was but I'm not going to admit that.
I frowned even more. All my friends have boyfriends and I have to constantly tell people to get rooms because I mean we are hormonal teenagers after all.
I'm the only single one from our quad which is annoying because everyone is going out on triple dates and I'm like 7th wheeling them, which is worse than 3rd wheeling!
I guess getting a boyfriend would be nice. I mean I want someone to tell me to get a room for once.
I got up, walking towards him. He looked up from his book. "Hm, legend by Marie Lu, I like you already." I smiled at him, sitting down across from him. "I'm Carmen, by the way. I go to east high, what about you?" I said, raising an eyebrow.
He smiled at me, another dimple appearing. Oh god, he is really cute!
"I'm Maliki, I'm going to east high too, senior." He said in a British accent, okay that accent turns me on. You probably didn't need to know that, but what the hell, I'm going to tell you anyways.
"Junior." I nodded.
"Really? You look so much older." He said, scrunching his eyebrows.
"I'm going to take that as I compliment." I laughed slightly.
His eyes widened when he realized what he said. "I didn't mean- thats not- I just- you're beautiful." He finished rambling. And then slowly a blush started appearing on his face. Could he get any cuter?
"Thank yo-" I said, when Cara cut me off. First you tell me to talk to the guy and then you cut my conversation with him off!
"Sorry to stop your little conversation here but we gotta go." It sounded like it was urgent, so I got up and started walking away.
