The boy with blue eyes
Chapter 1 – The boy
I never thought I would regret my decision of leaving. I always believed it was the right thing for me to leave it all behind. I don’t want to know anything about my parents or talk to them, but I do miss him. He was the only one person that was worth my time in that city and I left him. I cried myself to sleep most nights just thinking about him. I woke up that morning like I’ve been doing ever since I moved in a month ago. My new apartment wasn’t that big or fancy, it was mostly empty and I am starting to settle in and buy furnisher.
I left my room after sitting in my mattress for 20 minutes thinking about him. I put the kettle on the stove for my morning tea and headed to my bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and saw what I see the same thing I see every morning. My hair in a messy bun, the bag under my eyes are darker and puffier and the only good thing was that my skin was clearing up. I splashed some warm water on my face when I heard the whistle from the kettle. I headed back into the kitchen to pour myself some tea.
I still wasn’t used to living alone, so to entertain myself every morning with my cup of tea and I look out of my window to the buildings of people I don’t know and probably will never know. They are so many people in the world and what I don’t understand is why I am all alone. I was contemplating if I should go out today or not when I noticed something different about today. I look at the window next to me and to see the apartment in the building next to me had opened its curtains.
That’s interesting, I thought to myself. I couldn’t see much of the room and when I was about to turn away from the room something stopped me. All of a sudden a shirtless boy appeared out of nowhere. He had light brown curly hair and a round face. I couldn’t see much of his face, I could only see his bare chest and back. He had an amazing body, so I assumed that he probably plays some kind of sport. I watched him as he open the fridge and I assumed he started to cook. It was interesting watching him as he moved around the room. I didn’t feel weird about watching him until he caught me.
He was surprised to catch me watching him, but the surprised look on his face changed into a warm smile. I now caught a better look at his face. His wide nose, beautiful lips and bright blue eyes. I had never seen such a beautiful man ever. He waved hello to me and I didn’t know how to reply back. Unconsciously I lift up my arm and waved back. Such a simple gesture but it made me feel less invisible because someone noticed me.
