The Boy With Blue Eyes
Chapter 4 - The end of May
Sergi Roberto’s P.O.V.
You can say I was a bit obsessed with her. Every time I went to see Karla, I would look out her window to see if I saw her again. I also was waiting to hear a guitar, but I never did. I was going to give up until that weird morning at the end of May.
I woke up yawning and messing up my brown curly hair. I need to get a haircut, I thought to myself and started to walk towards the bathroom. I splashed some cold water on my face to wake me up then brushed my teeth. I used the toilet and walked towards the kitchen and opened the curtains again. Karla always kept them closed, but for some reason I like the way the light comes into the room and always open them. I looked over at the building next door and noticed she finished painting the walls a nice shade of blue. She started to hang things on the walls and, to my surprise, it brought a smile to my face. The room looked simple from this distance, and that is how I keep my place with Marc Muniesa.
I looked away from the window to make myself some breakfast before I had to leave. I grabbed the cereal box that I bought yesterday and a bowl. I pulled out the milk from the fridge. I also grabbed the strawberries and the orange juice and close the door. I grabbed the only banana that was left and started to pour the cereal in the bowl. I then cut the strawberries and the banana and put them inside the bowl with the cereal. I did all this while humming along to Bicicletes by Blaumut. I finished by pouring the milk into the bowl and cup of juice for myself. I put the milk, juice and what is left of the strawberries in the fridge and walked out to the balcony to have my breakfast.
I liked eating out here. Karla has a great view of the city and it’s peaceful up here. I sat on the lounge chair Karla has and started to eat. I was startled when I heard someone speak. I looked inside the apartment to see that no one was there. I turned towards her balcony and there she was smiling at me.
“Nice seeing you here.” She said still smiling. She had her blonde hair in a bun on the top of her head. She had on a large t-shit and a mug with a tea bag inside of it in her hands.
“Nice seeing you again.” I said standing up from the chair and facing her. “I forgot to tell you my name last time,” I said making her giggle and I took a bite from my cereal. “I’m Sergi.” I said after I swallowed. I gave her a warm smile and she smiled back at me and then quickly looked at the ground.
“I’m Alba.” She said looking up at me and once she caught me still looking at her she looked down and drank from her tea.
“That’s a pretty name,” I said trying to fill in the silence and not wanting to make this anymore weird that what it actually felt. “Are you going to play me a song today?” I asked and I made her giggle again.
“Not today,” She said with a shy smile. “I’m heading to work soon,” She said looking up at me.
“Then after work?” I said because I really want to hear her play again. I knew I was sounding desperate, and I kind of was, but I wanted to hear her play again to see if I could maybe help her out with her music, being a football player had it perks sometimes.
“I don’t know,” She said touching her forehead and I could see the hesitation in her face. She didn’t feel comfortable singing in front of people at all. “I have to finish painting my room and stuff.” She said and started to play with the tea bag inside her mug.
