My name is Jessie Gerrick, I'm 17 years old, and on the 10th September 2015 it was my first day of sixth form college. Scary right?
Anyway more about what I actually look like. I have long light brown curly hair, purple eyes and yes I do actually mean purple eyes, I wear trendy hats, checked shirts and boots normally. There is one more thing. I'm obsessed with books and tv shows, because who isn't?
The first day of sixth form was scary, and my first class was creative writing and... Let's just say it was interesting.
It all started when I walked into class, started talking to a girl named Sarah, she was friendly and was basically the double of me, in personality and unlike me incredibly pretty.
"So what do you think the class will be like?" She asked me, curious,
"Fun, I mean it's creative writing, making up fictional characters in a fictional world to get absorbed into a world that you care so deeply about, how could you not love it." I grinned, and she laughed. Then she suddenly stopped and nudged me,
"You reckon that guy is in the right class? He's way too hot to like things like books." Sarah said, I furrowed my brows,
"What do you me-" I was cut off when she turned me around to make me face a gorgeous blue-eyed boy with short/medium dark brown hair and all I could say was, "wow," yeah she was right he was too hot to be in a creative writing class, I mean maybe he loved writing but still you'd never expect a boy like that to be in a class that was full of people who loved writing and reading as much as I did.
"Then again Sarah, you're stunning, people could think the same for you." She looked at me,
"Are you kidding me? Seriously? And you're not stunning, Jessie, have you seen you? You're just amazing!" I raised an eyebrow in questioning,
"I'm not pretty Sarah, I'm anything but," I shook my head, at her ridiculous statement. "And a guy like that, would never go for a girl like me." I sighed, "why do you think I obsess over fictional characters?"
"You'll find you're knight shining armour, Prince Charming, whatever the hell you want to call it, because not matter what you say, even though I've not even known you for a day, you're such an amazing person in every single way." I smiled at her, it was probably the sweetest thing I had heard anyone say, and this was from a girl I hardly even knew!
A couple of minutes later the teacher started calling out each of our names. When it came to my name, I said, "here," before she continued. She carried on saying names until she came to a name, Trystan and had to say the name about 3 times before the blue-eyed boy answered, the one Sarah and I were talking about, five minutes before the register started being called out.
Trystan. His name was Trystan. Wow I thought he's gorgeous and has a unusual name? Nice. I thought this up until the point he started talking to me, since the teacher told him to move next to me because he wasn't paying attention and then I realised he wasn't a mysterious as he appeared. In fact the first thing he did when he sat down next to me, was grin at me. A damn sexy but annoying grin.
"Hi names Trystan, and you are?""Jessie," I whispered only half listening to him.
"You know I'm only here to meet geeky girls, like you." He whispered, I rolled my eyes,
"Great now shut up before I get into trouble." I whispered back, he laughed, God that laugh it was so cute I couldn't help but smile.
That's when the teacher noticed and said,
"Find something amusing Jessica?" I shook my head,
"No miss," I stuttered, shaking my head, the teacher looked at me,
"I heard you two talking-" she was cut off by Trystan,
"Actually miss she was talking to me I was just trying to concentrate and she was trying to distract me."
"Jerk!" I hissed, "he was the one distracting me I swear! It wasn't me!"
"I will not have that kind of behaviour in my class, now if you do it again I will send you to the principal okay?"
"Yes miss." I said, I glared at Trystan, before turning my attention to the board once again.
Our first homework was to write a short story about a character who is somewhere they don't know and they have to find their way home.
The first bell saying that the first ever class ended went about 5 minutes after we were given our homework.
After the bell went I left as quickly as I could. Sarah started catching up with me,
"Are you okay? I know it was him talking not you I don't get why he did it."
"Because he's a jerk, as simple as that, a guy as gorgeous as that of course he's a fucking jerk, why is it in books, boys are like that and then they turn out to be a broken little boy inside and then in real life they're just jerks and they're not different at all?" I asked.
"Because real life isn't a fantasy world unfortunately, and boys are always better in books, it's just the way they are." She replied,
"So true," I mumbled, "no wonder there's loads of girls that just want to escape the real world and go into one that's much better than this one cause let's face it, all world are better than this one."
"True that, now let's get some lunch I'm starving!" Sarah said, before she dragged me to the canteen. We just continued to talk about the things we loved, including books, tvshows and fictional characters, and about how perfect they all are.
