Monday soon was back in affect, for another week in Muskoka High. Courtney was yet again in Fred's car, huffing in annoyance as he jammed out full blast with his damned country music. Don't get her wrong, a little country could be appreciated; however, with the yodeling and the strums of a guitar that she already heard from Trent on a daily, it was getting a bit overwhelming.
She'd rather listen to his mix tape dropping out in 2020 than songs about rednecks and beer and mud and chicks and trucks.
She couldn't complain, she was, in fact, getting a free ride to escape the possible threat of riding a bus. Ew.
It's much better than trying to risk her life hitching a ride with her butler. It's much better than walking.
And yet again, it's by far better than riding a bus. A horrible, disgusting, stinky old yellow bus filled with brats around her age who didn't know anything about personal space and hygiene.
She sighed and turned her head towards Bridgette, who's face was planted to the glass, and looked like she was about to burst.
"Baby you a song, you make me wanna roll my windows down, and crUUISEEE!!" Fred sang off key.
Courtney and Bridgette cringed. A window in his car grew a crack through the high-pitched singing, and Courtney nearly thought she would have to go to school with glass on her. Enough was enough, the two couldn't possibly take it anymore.
"That's it!" Bridgette opened the car door and tucked her head in her hand, rolling out, of course with her belongings. Courtney follows suit. They dust each other off, happy that neither of the two had any sort of scratches on each other.
Fred stopped the car, his head popping out of the window, he having a shocked look on his face. "Are you two crazy?!" He yelled.
"Yeah, crazy enough not to hear such vile music!" Courtney yelled, quickly walking on the side walk nearby.
"Nobody wants to hear that besides you, it only makes sense if we leave," said Bridgette, she walking right beside Courtney. The two walked side by side, the school only a block away.
"Get back in the car or I'm pulling off on you!" He beckoned without making it seem too obvious he wants them back in the car. The two girls shrugged him off. A few minutes of walking wouldn't hurt.
"The school is across the street, we'll live!! Bridgette yelled.
"Your funeral!" Fred rolled down the window and pulled off. The two females cough from the trail of dirt flooding the air from his departure, but continues walking anyways.
"Ugh, it's really hard NOT to hate my brother sometimes. I know I am supposed to love him, but sometimes it's near impossible. All he does is gets drunk at parties and sing awful country music!" Courtney listened to the blond beside her rant her heart out as they walk towards the building
In a distance, a cop is seen, yelling at a familiar looking boy. He was yelling at him about something with the building and how he shouldn't go around doing certain things. Courtney got a closer look, the man looking very similar to Duncan, and the boy actually being Duncan.
Courtney shakes her head and walks closer towards the two. "What seems to be the problem, officer? Because I can assure you, Duncan had nothing to do with it."
The cop looked at Courtney. "Well, I can say he does since he was having cigarettes in his possession." He snatches the pack of smokes out of his hand, redirecting his attention back toDuncan. "just because you're my son does not mean I won't haul you back to a summer in Juvie!"
"Okay dad, now can I go? I promised Princess here I'd walk her to class." He gave a subtle wink at Courtney, she rolling her eyes. However, she doesn't reject the notion completely and just goes with it.
"It was to my knowledge that I was going to help him with our math test so he doesn't fail again. With me around, he definitely wouldn't." Courtney flips her hair and smiles, while Duncan holds back an eye roll.
The police officer looked generally appalled, he then clearing his throat. "Just keep him out of trouble." He then walks away back to his car.
"Thanks, Princess, you really saved my ass there."
"Stop calling me princess, you know I HATE THAT!" She huffs and begins to drag him back towards the front building. "And also, we really are going to get you tutored, it's a shame that your grades are as it is."
"Is this another one of your rants that I suck as a student, cause I really don't want to hear it."
"No, it's my rant that it's literally the second week of school and you're already failing Biology and Algebra, now let's GO!" She shouts.
Duncan chuckles at her antics, the two walking into the school. "I love a girl who takes charge."
Brigette mumbles to herself, "Those two are totally going to date. I give it a month."
