Sorry for not updating much this summer, guys.. But anyway, onto the story!! ))
Later on Friday afternoon, Bridgette and Gwen walked Courtney over towards the football stadium where football and cheerleading tryouts will be held. The three started to become good friends dispute of their differences, and Courtney and Bridgette were more than happy to have another person in their now little trio.
"Well this is where we head off, good luck, Courtney!" Bridgette said.
"You have my number." Gwen laughed a bit, waving a farewell. "Good luck."
"Thanks guys, see ya!" Courtney replied, watching them leave and talk amongst theirselves. She sighed nervously before walking over towards the rest of the cheerleaders.
The cheer captain, Cassidy, a tall slim and rather attractive young senior stood along with two co junior captains by her side. She had long curly golden hair in a ponytail and a red and white cheer outfit on, pompoms in both of her hands. "Hello fellow freshmans, sophomores, juniors and seniors!" She cheered out.
"You are all here because you believe you have enough school spirit to be in this squad. Well.. YOU DON'T!" She screamed into the microphone, startling the football players and the cheerleaders.
"Listen here, maggots. If you can't do a front and back spring and a split at the least, or you have a problem with me than leave!! We have plenty of other cheerleaders on our squad that can easily replace you!!"
Courtney looked around. More than half of the girls left. All who was remaining was Lindsay, Heather, Zoey, Anne Marie, Sky and a few other unknown faces.
"You there!" Cassidy screamed, pointing at Heather. "Do you know the cheer routine?"
"Um, of course I do. I wouldn't just walk up in here without knowing." She rolled her eyes.
"Hm, smart mouth, huh." Cassidy narrowed her eyes. "You want to be cheer captain, don't you?"
"Uh, duh."
"Well, I guess once you grow into your body a bit more, you'll get it.." She nods. "Now do your damn routine!" She blew her whistle.
"Our High school is the best, beat you in competition, better than the rest. Misoka High, going up sky high, beat the others in the hide, go Misoka high!" She finished off with a split, doing the routine almost perfectly.
"Not bad.. Not bad." Cassidy nodded.
She turned her attention to Courtney. "What about you, prep?"
Courtney looked nervous for a bit, then stood straight. She did her chant and routine gracefully and perfect, finishing off with a smile.
"Nice, nice." She clapped a bit. "Now onto you!"
..
Saturday morning came along as she stared at the screen on her computer.
"So how was cheer practice?" Gwen asked. Recently Courtney and Bridgette gave Gwen their Oovoo so they can all video chat together.
"It was pretty intense, who knew senior Cassidy Johnson was so strict?" Courtney groaned, her head resting in her hands as she sighed.
"Well I guess it was for the best if she was stricked, I mean of she was cheery the whole time, you guys wouldn't get anything done." Bridgette said.
"True, but do you really want to do all these clubs, it can get to the head.." Gwen trailed off, concerned for her.
"Yeah, I'm good."
"So, anyone meet any boys?" Bridgette said excitedly. "I met Geoff, he's so hot."
Gwen sighed. "I met someone today, he's pretty cute.."
Courtney shook her head. "I don't need a guy right now, I have too much on my mind."
"Not one person?" Bridgette asked.
Courtney remebered the punk boy Duncan, his real eyes looking straight at hers, his bad boy attitude thats so hot..
She quickly shook the idea out of her mind.
"Nope, not anyone." She said proudly.
"That blush on your face says otherwise." Gwen snickered.
She touched her cheek, as she did it gotten even warmer.
"Ugh, whatever..."
"Is it that Duncan kid you told me about?" Bridgette asked.
"Oh I remember him, we dated a while back but I broke up with him." Gwen said. "You guys though you two will see pretty cute together."
Courtney scoffed. "W-Whatever... I have to go." She closed the chat and logged off of Oovoo, the punk still fresh on her mind..
