I let out a groan as I rolled over in the bed. My body still felt exhausted, but I couldn’t do anything about it. I lifted myself out of the bed knowing I wouldn’t be able to go back to sleep anyway. My feet felt cold as I stepped onto the hard wood floor, a shiver rippling through my body. I shifted while I rolled my shoulders. I took in a heavy breath, steadying myself for going downstairs.
I moved down the stairs silently, wincing with each step, my claves burning. And I let out a sigh of relief when I stepped off the last step. I looked around, trying to find Zaleck. I turned my head towards the front door, wondering if I would be able to escape. I lifted a leg, my toes digging into the ground as I stood there quietly before I actually took a step forward.
“Do you think you are going to leave?” It was if he was just waiting for me to sepak. My head snapped towards the corner where a chair was, Zaleck pushing himself up from it. I shook my head, my fingers moving to the edge of the shirt I was wearing. I wished I had something else to wear besides his large shirt. I pressed my knees together, feeling them bang together. I watched as he moved forward, studying his face. Dark bags had started to trace under his eyes and his body looked stiff as he moved. Overall the only way I could place what he was feeling by using the word tired. Nothing more, nothing less. Just tired. “So you’re still playing the silent card?”
I turned my head away from him, letting out a sigh. I shook my head a little, lifting my arms up to cross them over my chest. I swallowed as I angled my body away from him.
“Oh, poor princess, are you upset with me?” Suddenly fingers were pushing my hair away from my neck and I jolted forward, taking several steps away from him. I glanced back at him, glaring at him. “Oh come now, don’t be that way.” I could hear the sarcasm in his voice as I pushed through the kitchen door, trying to get away from Zaleck, but I was only followed by him. “Do you even have a tongue anymore? You can’t avoid speaking for the rest of your life.” But I believed I could. I knew I could. “Whatever. Go put your clothes on, we’re going out.” I pushed past him once more, making sure to give him a good shove as I passed, which only made him reach out and grab my arm tightly. “Remember what the King said, we can get rid of that bad attitude of yours.” He growled. I let my eyes move to his, the two of us glaring at each other. I pulled my arm free and moved back up the stairs.

I can’t believe this! This is absolutely outrageous. What the hell was Eb doing standing outside a huge shop? Zaleck yanked me along, as usual. I wanted to scream, and I probably would have normally, but I still was not talking to anyone.
“Ah, hello princess, such a pleasure to see you again.” He said as the cruel smile plastered on his lips. “I take it you’ve been behaving?” I glared at him for a few seconds before looking away. “Oh no, in a sour mood? Peculiar.” I continued to look away, Zaleck’s fingers tightened on my arm, but I had given up squirming, knowing it would only make it worse. “Zale, what’s wrong with her? Did you cut her tongue off for being a trouble?”
“No, it’s her new thing. To be honest, it’s kind of nice.” I rolled my eyes as I heard him chuckle. I hate every one of them.
“I see.” I heard from Eb as I stared off to the streets. There had been people around in the morning, but there was no one on this street at all. I wondered if it had to do with the king being there. “Let’s go.” I was pushed after Eb into the shop we were standing in front of. The moment we stepped in there was a small group of people waiting. “Good morning.” Eb said, but most of them looked a little nervous to me. “So here she is. Get her something suitable.” Quickly a group of women moved to me, pulling be away from Zaleck, in which case he easily let them.
