“Where are you going?” I asked quietly as Zaleck started to pull towards my usual place of being tied up. A few days had passed by and I quietly sat around with Zaleck or was tied up while he ran errands or contacted Eb about what was going on with me. He was probably planning other things for my father who so far I’ve heard nothing from.

“None of your business.” He said as he started to wrap the rope around my wrists slowly and I just frowned. None of your business just meant that he didn’t wan to tell me which meant he wasn’t going to run errands or go see Eb, because he just liked to rub it in my face. I had gotten to know Zaleck a little bit, but not enough to change my opinion on him. I closed my eyes as I tried to pull my hands back a little, tired of the red raw skin that was slowly getting rubbed away from getting tied up.

“I don’t want to get tied up.” I said weakly, letting my eyes open to look up at him, trying to look as pathetic as I possibly could.

“I don’t have anything else to do with you unless you would like to go into a cell again.” I shook my head as I let my eyes flicker away, knowing it was useless. I leaned back weakly and let out a sigh. “I’m sorry, Sage.” I shook my head a little, keeping my eyes averted, only because I was in one of my depressed moods which meant I was surely about to start crying. “Please, Sage, I’m sorry.” I just shook my head again, feeling a single tear slip from my eye. It ran down my cheek slowly before I felt his fingers gliding across my cheek, wiping it away since I couldn’t. “Don’t cry…” He whispered as I kept my eyes away from his. He let out a groan before he lifted himself up. “I’ll be right back. I’m going to make a quick phone call.” He said as I looked to him to see himself pushing himself up from the floor and moving quickly towards the kitchen.

A short ten minutes later he was walking back out, looking a little annoyed. He didn’t say anything and nor did I. He was already kneeling in front me, untying the rope quickly and pulling me up from the ground. “Change into something a little nicer.” He said as I looked down at the pair of pants and shirt, which Zaleck brought home for me, probably because he was tired of me complaining about the dresses. I lips parted to complain, but I decided I better not. Wherever we were going it looked like he was going to take me, and I was perfectly fine with that especially when the alternative is being tied up for who knows how long. So I just scurried up the stairs to change.

I came down carefully, tugging on the white lace sleeveless dress. Pearls ran against the top and up the straps holding it up delicately, small spiralling petal looks. It ended just above my knees and pair of soft white strappy sandals were on my feet as I stepped carefully, my hair pulled back in a high pony tail, but I could feel my hair between my shoulder blades where there was a small open back on the dress. “Better?” I snapped as I stepped off the last stair.

“You can go back to not talking.” I heard from Zaleck who was opening the front door. I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

“Maybe I will.” I hissed as I moved quickly to the door, pushing out of it before he could stop me and hurrying down the alleyway.

“Fine.” He said and I just glanced back at him.

“Fine.” I replied, continuing down the alley towards the road before I realized it was actually really busy out.

“Good.” I heard from Zaleck behind me as I stopped, watching as a few cars even went by.

“Why are people actually out today?” I asked as he Zaleck passed me, giving me an odd look.

“What do you mean?” I heard from him before he continued to move forward and I ran after him.

“No one was ever on the streets. I’ve never even seen a car let alone this many people.” I looked towards him as he shrugged.
