I Found You CHAPTER 1

*Flashback*

"Bye Lou," I said through my tears. I didn't want to leave Doncaster... or my best friend.

"Hey, Abbi, don't think of it as goodbye, think of it as 'I'll see you later'. We'll see each other again, possibly when you least expect it." I gave him a weak smile. He always knew how to make me feel better.

"Before you go," Lou spoke up, "I wanted to give you two things." He handed me a small golden box with a silver bow and a letter in an envelope. "I want you to open the box now, but save the letter for when we see each other next." 

I slowly untied the silver bow. Before taking off the lid to the box, I look over to Louis. His bright blue eyes are amazing. They sparkle in the light. He gave me a strange look. Oops, I guess I was staring too long. I quickly looked back at the box and took off the lid to reveal a beatiful half heart locket.

"Open it." He instructed. I unclasped the locket to find a picture of Lou sitting on a hammock in his bathing suit. The other half of the hammock was cut off.

"This has to be the most amazing gift I have ever gotten, but where is the other half?" He grabbed the chain around his neck and opened his locket. There I was, sitting on the other half of the hammock. When the lockets were put together, the picture was complete.

"Abbi, I need to tell you something. I-"

Louis was cut off by my mom, "Abs! We need to leave or we will miss our flight to America!" Oh how I wish I could miss that flight.

"Lou, just tell me when you see me," I told him, "when I open the note... later." I saw a smile rise to his lips. Oh that smile. I gave him a big hug and he kissed my cheek.  

I heard him whisper into my ear, "You are, and always will be, my best friend." I nodded to show him I felt the same. Then, I hopped into the car tears rolling down my cheeks and waved bye to my best friend. "Bye," was the last thing I heard Louis say, as we drove away in the rain.

*Flashback Over*

6 years later

That was the last time I heard Louis' voice. On April 26, 2006. Now, it's 2013. and I still havent seen him. I guess when he said "I'll see you later", he meant  he might see me in 20 years. Though, I still carry that letter with me, the one he gave me before I left. I haven't completely lost hope yet. The only thing that keeps me believing is love.

The Next Day

I grabbed my floral crop top and matched it with my blue high waisted shorts. I was going shopping with my best friend, Samm. Samm and I have been best friends since I moved to Massachusetts from Doncaster. We both love to shop and we have addictions to Starbucks coffee!

Today was a hot rainy summer day, so we decided to spend it at the mall. After I finished doing my hair, I heard the doorbell ring. I ran downstairs to get the door.

"HEY GIRL! WASSUP?" I yelled in Samm's face as I opened the door. I made her jump, then we both started laughing really hard.

"Well, jeez, you're excited!" Samm exclaimed.

"As long as we go to Starbucks..."

"Of course!"

We hopped into Samm's car, and drove to the mall. As we were driving, the song Lego House by Ed Sheeran came on the radio. We both loved Ed Sheeran! I started to sing. I personally think my singing voice is pretty good, and I have always wanted to be a singer. My friends think I am going to make it big time, but I don't know about that. (A/N: The song is on the sidebar. I would listen to it while reading this to add effect O.o ==>)

"I'm gonna pick up the pieces,

And build a lego house

If things go wrong we can knock it down

Samm joined in for the chorus of the song. She had an amazing voice too! It was so angelic, and I wished I sounded like her.

We sang along for the rest of the song, and as it finished, we pulled into the mall parking lot. We hopped out of the car and ran to the mall entrance. We both stared at each other and said "Forever 21!" We laughed and walked into the store.

I found this really cute white lace crop top and a long colorful skirt, and Samm found a red varsity jacket and some ripped jean shorts. (A/N: link to outfits in sidebar ==>)  After we checked out, we went to Starbucks to get coffees.

I practically ran into Starbucks, since there was no line. Right as I was just about at the register, this boy, who looked about my age, cut in front of me. From the back, I could see his brown hair, striped shirt, suspenders and red skinny jeans. Some style.

"Uh excuse me," I snapped, "What makes you think you can get in get the the way of me and my coffee? Well, you-"

The boy turned around, revealing his face and blue eyes. I know those eyes. The last time I looked into them was on April 26, 2006, when I realized I was in love with my best friend. The locket, the note, the memories all flooded back as I looked into the eyes of Louis Tomlinson.
