I was so excited to get decorating this"house". I had so many ideas with what to put on the walls, in the rooms, and stock up the cabinets and fridge with yummy food. I was excited to officially grow up. I could have Mikey over all the time, not that were dating but.... Yeah anyways. The girls and I turned up the music and danced around the apartment adding little things here and there. We sang loudly and danced like elephants. She laughed at the sight of ourselves. This was so fun. I was excited to come home from school and lay on my couch, that I will soon get. Also the girls could come over all the time. This was awesome.
I was being very reckless and decided to take a hammer to my coffee table. I wanted to give it a distressed look. After I did that, I was thinking of what to do with the crystals I had earlier broken. I grabbed the letters and put them behind the sink in the kitchen. I stepped back. It looked cool. I don't really think much about Brendon anymore. I got over it and he doesn't text or anything so he clearly has too. I'll see tomorrow at school. Hannah pulled my arm and went to show me my room. She put the fairy lights around my ceiling. She plugged them in and and switched the lights off. The fairy lights illuminated the room with their warm yellow glow. I spun around and engulfed myself in her effort it took to put these up.
I heard someone stumble through the door. I walked to the front door to see my mom laughing on the floor, surrounded by groceries. I helped her up and we put all the food away. She told me she got me a couch and other nice cozy things to put in here. She also said the guys would be here in ten minutes to unload and build. Rachel and I quickly moved stuff out of there way. I asked Hannah and Morgan for help. That was no use. They were off decorating my room and probably fighting over what to do with the second room.
I heard a knock on the door. I swung it open with a big smile. It was just Luke. Well not JUST Luke but I was excited to get my couch. Luke walked into my room to find Hannah. I bet he was kissing her. Gosh they are inseparable. I texted Calum and asked him to come over. I was going to surprise Morgan. He said he was already on his way. That made me smile. Within minutes the furniture guys were setting up a table, couch, lamp, dressers, curtains, and everything in between. Within a few hours this place was looking amazing. Calum was here now too. He was in the kitchen with Morgan eating all my food we just got. All well as long as they are happy I didn't mind. I grabbed a small bucket of black paint and went into my room. I shut the door so no one saw what I was doing and so they wouldn't distract me. I took a small paint brush and dipped it in the paint. The walls were a nice darkish grey. I pulled up a ladder and started at the top left corner painting. I was writing song lyrics in fancy lettering. I wrote the lyrics to Vapor by 5sos. I loved that song and knew every word by heart. I also painted it because grey and black are like smokey colors and vapor, smoke. You feel me? It took a little while but It looked amazing. It was on the wall across from my bed. I walked out of my room to see candles lit and flowers. I saw a boy standing in the dark. Only able to see a little. The candles were the only light. I walked to the boy. He matched the darkness. His skinny black jeans and black converse blurred into the dark. I looked at him with a smile. There was paint on my arms and face. I had my hair in a top knot and wore old shorts and a crappy t-shirt.
"Dressed to impress I see." Michael smiled. I rolled my eyes at him.
"Well isn't this nice. If you weren't standing here I would have thought my mother did this. How not punk rock of you." I put extra enfaces on the NOT part. Michael walked to the main light switch and turned it on. He glared at me and went to my oven. He pulled out a box of pizza. What else should I have expected. He graciously walked to the island and put the warm pizza box down. I laughed at him and gave him a kiss. We sat and talked about how cool this was while eating our cheap $5 pizza.
"I have a surprise for you." Michael choked. I laughed. He walked out into the hallway and pulled out an amp.
"Oh my god. You got me an amp. That awesome. Oh my god thanks!" I pleaded.
He went to the corner of my living room and sat it there. He walked back out to the hallway. He brought my guitar. He lifted it up and put it on the couch. I walked over to him. He opened the case and I nearly cried. Well I did but I was masked in the glory. He got me a guitar. A new one. Mine was old and used but I covered it up with paint to make it seem like I had a cool guitar. He kept it in my nice case I recently got painted. The guitar shiny black with two white "x" marks on it. I leaped into Michael's arms, knocking him back on to the ground. He laughed and kissed me. We sat back up and put my guitar on a guitar stand by the amp. I pulled Michael up and dragged him into my room, remember the wall I painted. I opened the door and flicked the light on, revealing my work. I looked over at Michael. He was in awe.
"I hand painted this earlier." I cheered.
"This is amazing. Must have taken you forever. Must have needed a ladder to get up there." He added.
I rolled my eyes and walked over to him admiring my wall. I stepped in front of him. He wrapped his arms around my waist and placed his chin on my head. We stood there a while before any sound or movement was made. I turned around to face him. He kissed my forehead and pulled me out to the living room. He was excited to show the guitar he got me.
"This is actually my guitar. I got a new one and thought you would like this one. Its a great guitar and it belongs to a great girl. He looked over at me. He sat me up on the couch and put the guitar on my lap. He sat behind me, with his legs on either side of me. He put his hands on the guitar above where mine were and started to play. I did too, so it sounded like a weird song mashup. I looked back at him.
"You know, I do know how to shred on the guitar. I butted in.
"Yeah well then I can't do this from on the other side of the room." He turned my head back to look at him and kissed me. He was right. It was much better this way.
