Xavier POV
Arizona was just staring at the three of us, confusion and fear clearly on her face. I had stopped crying and now was just thanking god for Arizona. I looked over at my mother it looked like she was also saying a quiet thank you to The Lord.
"Am I interrupting something? Should I leave?" Arizona asked with hesitation.
"No your not! Don't go!" I yelled desperately scared that if my dad had spoken first he would have forced her to leave, and continue that horrifying moment that would end my life.
I looked over at my father, his eyes were blue again, but was still full of rage. He said a quick excuse me before brushing pass Arizona and quickly exiting the room. I looked at my mother, she let out a exasperated sigh before speaking.
"Can you stay somewhere else for the night sweetheart? I don't want you anywhere near him I don't want him hurting you." She whispered.
"Well uhm.." I stammered
I didn't have any friends I could possibly stay with, seeing as the first day everyone hated me. The only friend I had was...
I glanced up at Arizona who was gazing off into space, probably trying to process everything that just happened. She probably thought it was her fault or something, I would have to reassure her that it was just family issues. I cleared my throat attempting to get Arizona's attention. She glanced at me and gave me a questioning look.
"Well uhm I can't really go home, and I have no where else to go and your like my only friend. So uhm I was wondering if.." I was rambling and my cheeks were flushed. Gosh I was asking a girl I just met if I could sleep over with her! I probably look like the biggest loser and pervert ever.
She was shifting from foot to foot, and became quickly interested with the floor. She was playing with her hands and mumbled something incoherent.
"Par-pardon?" I asked nervously
My mother was silently watching us with a small knowing smile that I didn't understand. Finally Arizona looked up and me and was completely red in the face.
"I guess you can stay with me, it's only my mother and I that live at home. My mom is really easy going so she'll probably say yes..." She finished quietly
"Well" my mother spoke up, "it's settled you will stay with Arizona. Honey can you please make sure my idiotic son doesn't end up here again?" My mother smiled at Arizona
I was turning red, she completely making fun of me in front of my only friend!
"Mom..." I whined
"Okay, okay I'm leaving now." She laughed she kissed me on the forehead, and started walking towards the door.
As she passed Arizona she whispered something in her ear, that made her blush a deep red and mumble a okay. Then my mom opened the door and gave us a finally wave good bye and left. Arizona finally looked up at me, and smiled.
"How about we get the hell outta here now?" She asked
I smiled and nodded, but then I began to think how the hell are we going to get a ride to her house? My mom is gone an I don't even think she asked her mom yet, so I would be just showing up rudely.
Oh god I thought to myself her mom will probably think all these weird things about me. I was taken out of my thoughts when Arizona snapped her fingers.
"I don't live far from here Xavier, we can just walk it's like a ten minute walk." She told me as if she could read my mind.
"Oh okay" I said
