Triple Trouble(a Death Note Fan-Fic)

Proluge

I was listening to Vocaloid, eventually becoming tired. I had a large project to work on in the morning at To-Oh University. If I was going to work on it I had to get some sleep. I turned my laptop off and slowly drifted to sleep.

~In my dream I was in bed looking very ill. I got up and went to the mirror. I washed my face and got dressed. I got a call from Ryuzaki... I wonder who he is. I answered, coughing.

"Hello?" I asked coughing again.

"Mayu are you okay? you haven't been here in two days and we're worried sick. I'm just checking on you." The man answered. He did sound very concerned.

"Ryuzaki I'm fine. I only have a little cold. Nothing much. I can still work if you want. I have some of the files on my laptop anyways." I replied rubbing my eyes.

"Are you sure? You sound very sick to me. Maybe a rest in bed is the best thing to do right now alright? I'll fill in for you today."

"But Ryuzaki I can-" I was cut off by the man.

"Mayu this is an order from all of us. Just go rest." He answered. "See you soon Mayu." He said goodbye. I hung up and sighed. My heart skipped three beats all of a sudden. I closed my eyes and collapsed on the floor. I was greeted by darkness, and nothing else...~

I woke up with a start, I was sweating all over, and I was about to cry. I looked over at the clock. 5:30... I had plenty of time to get ready. I slowly got up, stretching my legs. I went into the bathroom of my small apartment. I took my clothes off and took a shower. I got out after 10 minutes. I found my regular black and white school clothes and put them on. I put on white socks and got a blue ribbon to tie my hair. After that I looked at the clock. It was now 6:20. I got my book bag and headed out of the door, going to a coffee shop for breakfast.

"Can I get a coffee and a donut please?" I asked at the counter. I payed and went out to the train, where I ate. The train came and I got on, going to To-Oh. All of a sudden Light came on the train. I hid my face.

"Hey Mayu." Light said. I smiled as a reply. "So what do you want to do for the project?" He asked. I snapped out of my trance and started to panic. I didn't even think about the project this morning.

"Oh! Um... I was thinking something about Neptune and how the planet was originally in front of Uranus. Well... Only if you agree!" I said calming down. Light smiled.

"That's a great idea. We need some research though. Is your Laptop with you?" He asked. I nodded, taking out my small laptop. "Great now we can get a headstart!" he smiled. I quietly sighed in relief. God that was close.

"Hey I think I found something!" I said as the train slowed down. I quickly favorite the website and closed my laptop and put it in my bag.

"What happened to your eye?" Light asked as we got off of the train and started walking to the university. My eyes widened as he pointed to my right eye, which probably wasn't covered with my hair good enough. I looked at him then looked away.

"N-nothing! I've never had anything wrong with my eye!" My body was filling with sadness and rage as I lied. I felt an arm on my shoulder, I looked back to see Light with a concerned face.

"Its okay to tell me." he replied as he let go of me. I shuddered with fear of what he would think of me. Probably a demon like the other kids thought. I sigh and started to walk again.

"My eye was experimented on when I was Three. They hit me a lot, and my eye was always sore. One day they let me go, Shoving me out if the building. I was looked at like I was shot multiple times and was still walking. I ran off to a pond and looked at my reflection. My right eye was red, and it was glowing. I always hid this eye... so none of them could make fun of me. The day of the picture with my friend before she died of a murder, I had to wear eye contacts, to hide it. She was the only one that understood me then. I wish she would live, so that I can spend time with her as the real me..." I finally finished as we got to To-Oh. I stopped in my tracks. Something was wrong. I could feel it swelling up in my gut as I walked closer to the gates. I gasped as I saw a man in a white lab coat with black hair. I dropped one of my books, making him look at me. I hid behind Light.

"Light, get as many people as you can NOW. We need to get out of here before he recognizes me." I said as I slowly picked up my book and walked back.

"Mayu look out!!" Someone called out. It was Tulip and Minnie. I suddenly saw a knife whiz past my face and a man with three knives come closer. It was him. Tokoro Filra.

I walked forward as the fury started to control me. "THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!!!" I screamed as I hit him, ignoring the fact that he had knives. He stumbled and he looked at me.

"Well if it isn't Mayu Deromi!" He laughed. I looked at him. He just laughed. I soon began kicking him and he flew across the front of the university.

"If it wasn't for you I'd be normal!!" I cried out. I ran off into the school and into the bathroom. I washed my face and stopped crying. I was about to be late. I got out of the bathroom and walked into my classroom, that was mostly empty except for the teacher, Light, me, and a few other people. Light looked at me like I just came back from a kidnapping.

"Mayu please take a seat." the teacher said. I bowed and walked next to Light, Tulip and Minnie. They hugged me except for Light who patted me.

"What did I do?" I ask. I wasn't being modest this time. I only saved my life really.

Tulip play punched me. "Mayu you just help catch the number three villain in the world! He made young people into animal people and that kind of stuff. He also killed and robbed in order to get the money!" I was shocked. I was... an animal person then? But why do I not have ears, tail, or the eyes then?! I probably was only a failed test.

"Well really, I just saved myself and tried to get away from him, because... You know..." I mumbled getting my laptop out like the teacher told me individually.

"Mayu what are you doing?!" the teacher yelled. He went up to me. This is a really weird day. First the murderer, then this teacher not our teacher. I instantly got up.

"Y-you're not the teacher!! I stuttered. I swear I remembered his face somewhere. I tried to remember. Then he slapped me and pushed me to the floor. "Ah!!" I scream in pain. I wasn't used to being slapped, so I really didn't know what to do when slapped. Light got up. Tulip and Minnie did as well, but they held the man back.

I opened my eyes and he kicked me. I didn't reply, knowing that was what he wanted. I only felt rage swell up and I remembered. This was another man from the lab. Why, why were they here? Are they trying to get me again? Then how did they find me?!

I got up and looked at him, my eyes were probably looking cold. I suddenly hit him in response. He looked surprised. He thought that I was still the weak young girl I was. I was not that girl anymore. I am now a stronger, more determined girl.

"Minnie call the police. Your the fastest in an emergency now go." I say as she runs out real fast. I step forward. The man was trying to get out. I only put my foot on his chest to stop him. He tried to push it off but I didn't let him.

"Why are you here?" I ask him. He only struggled to get out. I twisted my foot making him yell in pain. My fury went away and I realized what I was doing. I kept my foot on him though. "Why are you here?!" I ask again getting impatient.

"I'm supposed to get you back to the lab. I have to get you for an experiment! Please that's all I know! Let me go!" He pleaded. I took my foot off of him. He tried to grab it but I was to quick. I kicked him softly but painfully as he stopped struggling and he got up, gasping for air.

"Tulip make sure he doesn't go." I order. Tulip obeyed and grabbed onto his feet tightly, he couldn't move without falling. "Light your dads a chief right?" I ask. Light nodded and got up. He went outside.

"I'll wait outside just to make sure they come." Light said walking out of the door. I sighed.

"Tulip go quickly and close the door. I'll take care of this man now. Don't worry. I've been able to beat him once, I can do it again." I say. Tulip hesitated.

"Are you sure Mayu?" She asked after thirty seconds. I nod and she dashes out of the door, only to run into the police.

"In there! He's in there!" Minnie's voice was heard through the hallway, and I stood up, feeling a terrified shrill crawl up to my face. What if they think I'm the bad guy?!
