Charlotte Bolton took a deep breath, standing just outside the entrance to the village of Hollyoaks. Her baby was fast asleep in the pushchair, letting out little snores here and there. "Come on then, let's go find Daddy." She spoke to no one in particular, looking down at her son. She was dressed in a white mesh dress as it was summer and brown sandals, her blonde hair flowed down behind her back. Just as she began to walk into Hollyoaks, she got knocked over by someone running through the village.

"I'm sorry, Miss. I was going after my girlfriend, we had a row. Are you ok?" A young police officer asked, helping her up.

"Yeah, I'm fine, it's ok, thanks." Charlotte stood up, letting the police officer help her. "Can you tell me where I can find Freddie Roscoe?" She asked.

"Er, yeah, he's my older brother, you'll probably find him at the garage. I'm Jason." He held out his hand for Charlotte to shake. She shook it. "Anything I can help you out with?"

"No, no, it's fine, thanks. See you around." She smiled, grabbing the handles of her son's pushchair, wheeling him away and towards the garage. The Roscoe's garage was only about a five minute walk from the entrance of the village. Charlotte weaved her way around cars, finally finding the entrance of the garage, she went up to the desk, where a man was sat behind it. "Hi, erm, I'm looking for Freddie Roscoe?"

"He's just gone to the tug boat for some burgers for Lunch, he should be back in about half an hour, if you want to come back?" The dark haired, good looking man behind the desk asked.

"Is it ok if I wait?" Charlotte wondered.

"Yeah, yeah, that's fine. Can I ask, what you want to see Freddie for? I'm Joe, his older brother by the way." Joe told her.

"Wow how many brothers does Fred have? I've already just met Jason." Charlotte flashed a quick smile. "Erm, it's kind of...private. If you don't mind." Joe stood up, getting to work on a car.

"Joe. I've got cramps and this baby is moving around like nobody's business." A pregnant woman in a tight dress and high heels strolled into the garage. "Who's this?" She pointed at Charlotte, raising her voice.

"Aw, babe. Well it'll all be worth it when he's here." Joe touched her bump, smiling like a cheshire cat. "And I don't know, she's looking for Freddie. What's your name, love?" Joe questioned her.

"Charlotte. Charlotte Bolton." She told the couple as her little boy began to wake up, crying gently. She picked him up and started to calm the baby.

"I'm, er, Mercedes. Joe's girlfriend, and mother of his baby." Mercedes made it clear that no other girl would get her hands on Joe. "I'd say it's nice to meet ya, but I don't even know why your 'ere." Mercedes plonked herself down on the chair Joe had been sat on.

"Try putting Vaseline on your bump. Helps with cramps." Charlotte advised Mercedes, she had been pregnant once herself.

"Eh?" Mercedes opened a packet of crisps.

"When I was pregnant, I rubbed Vaseline on my bump. It was the only thing that would help with the cramps. As well as herbal teas but I think I just liked them." Charlotte half-heartedly chuckled for a second.

"Hm, maybe I'll try that, thanks." Mercedes smiled at her. Maybe this girl wasn't going to be so bad after all. "Next time we're at ta shops, Joe, remember that." She told her boyfriend.

"What's going on here then?" A familiar voice walked up from behind where Charlotte was facing, her son bouncing on her arms, gurgling. It was Freddie. He probably wouldn't recognise her from behind, she'd changed her hair and had got slimmer. Charlotte whirled around, facing Freddie. "Charlotte!" Freddie's face lit up, going in for a hug from her. Charlotte awkwardly returned the hug, with her son in her arms it was hard to hug someone.

"Hi, Freddie." Charlotte shyly smiled.

"What you doing here? It's been like almost a year and a half since Marbella!" Freddie was grinning, he had the same grin as Joe, Charlotte noticed.

"Yeah, I, erm, I need to talk to you." Charlotte glanced up, looking into Freddie's eyes. The hazel eyes she had longed to see for fourteen months, the same eyes her baby boy had.

"Ok...Joe is it alright if I have the afternoon off?" Freddie asked his older brother.

"Go ahead." Joe shrugged. "Robbie'll be down to help soon anyway. See ya later." Joe called as Freddie began to walk away, he pushed Charlotte's son's pram for her as she had the baby in her arms. "You don't think?" Joe said to Mercedes. She shrugged in reply, anything was possible with Freddie.

Freddie took her back to his house, no one was in. "I swear we didn't even take each other's numbers, how'd ya find me?" Freddie smirked, opening his front door.

"Well, your a hard man to find." Charlotte laughed. "Took me about thirteen months to find you. But there was someone I thought you might like to meet. Hopefully it'll make it all worth it." Charlotte followed Freddie into the house. It was a massive house, a staircase in the corner of the hallway.

"So who am I needing to meet. It's good to see ya again by the way." Freddie wondered, he had thought he'd never see Charlotte again after the three weeks they spent together in Marbella.

"Well, this is Louis." Charlotte introduced her son to Freddie.

"Why do I need to meet your kid? He's cute though." Freddie grinned, saying hello to the young boy.

"Because, because he's yours." Charlotte confessed. "That's why I've spent so much time looking for you. I want Louis to at least have a chance to get to know his Daddy." Charlotte hoped Freddie would accept his son. "If you'll give us a chance?"

"Are you kidding? He's mine?" Freddie whispered.

"It's not a joke, Freddie. Louis' your son." Charlotte replied. "I'm sorry, this was a stupid idea, I'll go." She turned to leave.

"No, no, Char, don't go. Can I hold him?" Freddie asked. Charlotte nodded, handing Louis to his Daddy. The resemblance between Freddie and Louis was uncanny. "Hey, son, I'm your Daddy." Charlotte spotted a year welling in Freddie's eyes. He kissed his son's forehead. "Charlotte, I-I've always wanted to be a Dad, I promise you, I'm not gonna let little Louis down. How old is he? What's is full name? I love him so much already. My heart almost bursts." Freddie stared down at his son, wiggling around in his arms, lovingly.

"He's just turned five months old, yesterday. And his full names Louis Fredrick Roscoe." Charlotte told him, smiling, she had finally seen her son in his Dad's arms. A scene she had been longing to see since her baby had been born.

"Fredrick? After me?" Freddie asked, surprised.

"Yeah."

"He's perfect." Freddie grinned.
