I watch myself transform under Lidia's fingers. My hair is perfect for the dress and after my makeup is done I actually look pretty. They help me into my dress and when I look into the mirror I gasp, this really is the most beautiful dress and Lidia did a great job on my hair and makeup.
"You look stunning!" Rita compliments me clapping her hands.
"You do look great, now I have to put your vail on, so sit back down. I look at the vail in her hands it's small covering only my face its perfect for the dress. When Lidia's done Rita hands me a boutique of deep red roses that match my lips.
She smiles at me. "It's time." I nod, feeling my eyes start to water.
This is my wedding day. Just me and Paxton. No pretend Mother figures with their bossy opinions. No disapproving father. Although, this is rushed it still feels right. We're not having a wedding to please everyone else, this is only about us.
I hug Lidia, "Thank you so much, I've never felt so beautiful."
"You're welcome, sweetie. Now, no crying and ruining my creation." We both giggle and I turn to follow Rita.
We walk down a hallway and when we come to double doors I see our driver waiting at one of the doors. I hear a piano start playing here comes the bride. Rita opens one side of the door and our driver the other. When the doors open I look down the aisle to Paxton standing with the minister in a black tux.
He's freshly shaved and his hair is perfect. The smile on his face is contagious and I smile back. Without thinking I start walking towards him. I stand beside him and the minister starts the wedding vows when it's time to say, 'I do' I have no doubts and say it without hesitation. The wedding ring Paxton puts on my finger has diamond's all the way around it and Paxton's ring is a solid white gold band, when I slide it on his finger it fits perfectly.
"You may kiss the bride." The minister states.
Paxton brings his hands to my face and leans down kissing me soundly. I hear clapping and look over to Rita, Lidia and the driver. I smile at them and Paxton takes my hand and we walk back down the aisle. We head towards a backdrop of a sunset and an arbor with ivy and flowers. Rita has a camera and Paxton takes my hand and we both smile at the camera. After a few shots the minister comes out with a disk and the folder Paxton came with. Paxton takes the folder and puts the disk inside. We thank everyone and walk to the limo.
"You look beautiful." Paxton says, holding open the door.
"Thanks and you look very handsome as well. Where are we going now?" I ask when we get into the car.
"To get you out of that dress. I can't wait another second." He replies, his voice full of need.
I look at him. "I feel the same way."
He groans, "Careful, babe. I'm not above taking you in this limo."
I laugh, "You can make it to the hotel. I have faith in you."
We leave the parking lot and pull into traffic. "Did you like your dress?" he asks seriously.
"I love this dress. Did you pick it out?"
"I did. I knew it was perfect for you as soon as I saw it."
"When did you buy it?"
"I had it pulled from a boutique in Mayberry. I was there for lunch with a client a couple days ago. It was in the window, I had to see it on you. So when we decided on Vegas I called the store and they located the same dress here and had it sent over to the chapel. I'm happy you liked it as much as I did."
"It's perfect, thank you. The whole wedding was exactly what I wanted. Just us together."
"It really was perfect for us." He agrees, kissing me softly.
