Birds can't commit suicide she said.
If they fall their reflexes are so amazing that their first instinct is to fly.
Why can't we be like them? She asked.

I nod. As she goes on to say.
But, you see if a baby bird falls they just die. they don't know any better so they can't think for themselves and fly when they see they're about to die.
But, if it was an adult bird it would know "oh, the concrete is not for me", and start to fly.
In that case we are like birds you see.
That's why there's so much teen suicides, for they can't think for themselves and see that they're slowly falling, they can't think " oh I should start flipping my wings before I hit the concrete and die."
And you see the adult birds are our therapist for they are trying to teach us how to fly.
