Broken Wings #DISCONTINUED#

My heart began to beat faster, as I heard the screams beneath me. I was scared, my body shook rapidly and my back hurt from the weighty weather spoilt wings that writhed in distress behind me. I felt a cold salty tear drip slowly from my wide opened eye, as I saw the unpleasant sight of a small child being hurled over the dirty wooden barrier that barely enclosed the city. I headed down to the city, rain poured on and around me, it crashed onto my body, it was ice cold and burned as it hit my skin.

I retracted my damaged wings and hit the floor hard with both feet, I tripped and crashed to the floor onto my knees, my eyes began to fill up with tears from the pain of razor-sharp stones ripping into my bare skin. I brushed my legs with my frosty hands and looked up, to see the sickening sight of hundreds of beaten and bruised faces staring me, study me, as if they were trying to figure me out. I put down my head and pushed through the crowd to a loud but deep groaning behind them.

I bent over, and gripped my messed up hair, I felt rivers of tears stream down my cheeks. I stood up straight and screamed at the two tall, bulky men that stood at the stone table in front of me, a sea of damaged faces watched them, brutally beating a young male, his expression was blank, like he had been there before, his face was a dark shade of purple, his arms were being held back by another man, people laughed, and people cried, I stopped screaming, and stepped forward. The built up figure stopped hitting him, and turned around, he marched towards me, grabbed my arm and threw me onto the floor. His large foot hurled towards my face, I tried to react but the force was too great, his foot pounded into my face, again and again, hurting more each time. The world around me began to blur, and darken, I closed my eyes and he stopped kicking me…
