Chapter 13

Kai's POV

I heard a glass-breaking fracas of two people in Krystal's room. That made my adrenaline rush and I was about to open the door when I heard a name. The name that I was hoping not to hear -- anymore.

"Taemin.." Krystal said. I was still on the state of shock. I can't believe he's here. How dreadful I am to welcome my best friend in this way? Anyway I don't consider him one of my friends anymore. Despite of all the deceptions he did to Krystal, he still have guts to show up. The hell?! His lies and betrayals wanted me to punch him right on his face. Still, I'm holding myself. Trying not to intrude. I don't have the vigor anyway since she mentioned his name, my world seems to revolve tediously. Wanted to be relucant as I leave the room. Eavesdropping would be self-torment so I clinched to sit on the balcony outside the hospital to prevent this retarded emotions of mine. I know seeing together would be a relapse. I knew it from the beginning. I thought everything is fine or so I thought. I could have her if I did the first move but NO. I was a coward. Tho I am one-step forward, I should move hundred steps backward. The question is, should I? I'm on the right track but in the wrong time. I'm saving from pain but I know sooner or later she will eventually get hurt. I just want to let out a snigger right now just like the old times but I can't. Seeing myself in this situation is a self-pity.

"Deep thought, huh?" That voice broke the impasse.

Sulli's POV

I'm on the way to visit my sister in the hospital. She was confined here since last week. I brought fruits for her as I walk, a familiar figure caught my gaze. A guy. Is that Kai? As I can see he is in a deep morose. I can sense it. What's bothering him? That bothers me too. I switched the speed of my walk into higher level so I could reach him. He needs a help.

"Deep thought, huh." I said. Gave him a wry look. As expected, he was shocked. Not expecting for my appearance.

"What's your problem?" I added.

"Why are you here?" What a very good greeting.

"Is that the answer to my question?" I sarcastically said. Once again, no respond. Shifted on his behaviour previously.

He is not so this. My questions might annoy him and he might turn into a hot green-headed giant named "Hulk" so I thought of another idea. I want this to be inevitable. Invigorating. I cleared my throat. Still not getting his full attention and I'm like "Okay, am I invisible here?" I sang a song without giving him a warn. Bleh.

*sings*

Instead of receiving flattering comment, he just gave me a tedious look. Aish jinja. My voice is too beautiful that I could just receive standing ovation and around of applause. This guy is so ridiculous. I still have a sister to take care. I was about to stand up but I felt a strong force of two arms obviously holding my arms. I sighed and look at Kai.

"Don't go. Please." He said. As he was saying that, I felt something... something strange.
