Turning things around

A Letter

My dearest Reader,

There are so many things I wish to tell you, to explain. By the time this is being read, I will be long gone, me and my friends. We have done so many things with you, even though you may not remember. And if you do, please understand that I am trying to make amends with you. This letter...oh boy...this letter is more then just a letter, it's me. Friend from so long ago, our worlds were intertwined by fate. Not that mythical fairy that grants your every desire, not Wizard of Oz kind of fate. No, this was unaccounted for fate. A fate even more mysterious.

Now, before I start telling you all of our adventures, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Maytris. Haha, yeah, a funny name, right? My mother thought it would be cute to put my two grandmothers names together, Marina and Beatris. As I grew up, people started calling me "The walking matrix", not only because thats how you pronounced my name, but because I was a solid. In the sense where, leway to fun, rules, and anything of the sort, just didn't abide to my nature. To this day, I feel I am still that way...

That is, until now. Something happened to me-to all of us-not to long ago. Something catastrophic. Even now, it's hard to put into words what exactly we...we saw? Felt? No...the proper word is "Experienced." It felt like something bigger then the actual whole, and we saw that, no matter how we looked at it, it was just so...so big! I personally liked to call this experience, "The Sevens Awakening" or for short "The Seven". Seven in a literal sense, were the Seven Deadly Sins, all in one being, and no being all at the same time! Ah...I'm getting ahead of myself, you'll find this all out when you read my friends story. No, I am not the author of this journal, more of an...editor if you will. Don't tell her I said this, but she is not the greatest speller.

But, as I have said, you'll find out all this later, Seven and I. But please, whatever you do, remember that I was, and am, a good person, even though...even though I have done horrible and terrifying things to good people.
