"Who the hell are you?" Greg growls pushing me behind him.
"Hello Jessa," the man leaning on my door says ignoring Greg.
"Answer the question." Greg growls blocking me from view.
I peek around Greg and get a good look at the man, who seems familiar. Where have I seen him before. I think before looking him in the eyes. "Michael?" I whisper/ask.
"You know this man?" Greg says eyeing Michael up and down.
"Sorta," I mumble shocked. What the hell is he doing here.
"We need to talk." Michael says, "Privately."
"No," Greg growls lowly, "Absolutely not."
"Greg, you can come in and stay in the living room, we'll talk in the kitchen." I say quickly when I feel Greg tense up. Jeesh, the last thing I need is a fight to start in the hallway. I walk over to my door and unlock it heading to the kitchen.
"Jes..." Michael starts.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I say whisper angrily, "Your supposed to be in prison."
"I served my time." Michael says taking a step closer and I back up. "Jessa?"
"No, you broke p-promise." my voice wavered, "You promised to be there when I needed you. I-I n-needed you, Michael."
"Jessa," Michael says loudly, "I know and I'm sorry, but I had asked Nash to watching you."
"Why?" I asked confused.
"Because," he stopped, "It doesn't matter now."
"Your right it doesn't matter so leave," I say running to my room, sitting on my bed I listened to Greg and Michael's muffled conversation.
"Jessa," Greg knocked.
"What?" I asked hiding under the blanket.
"You should give him a chance," Greg sighed sitting on my bed. "Like you do with everyone else and with me."
"But he hurt me." I whined sitting up, "I don't want to be hurt by him again."
Greg pulls me into his chest saying, "He won't, I won't let him."
"Ok," I sigh and stand up, "I'll give him a chance."
"Good," Greg smiles and I follow him to the living room, "You hurt her I'll murder you." he growls at Michael before leaving my apartment.
"So..." Michael says after a couple minutes of tense silence. "Where are you staying?" I blurt out. "Uh, yeah," Michael says awkwardly, "Hadn't thought that far. I can just sleep in my car." I sigh loudly, "I have and extra bedroom."
"Really," Michael says shocked. "I don't mind sleeping in my..."
"Yes," I snap, "You can stay but you have to start looking for a job tomorrow." I show him him the guest room, "Now I have work in the morning so I'm going to bed."
After closing my door I heard Michael whisper, "Night, violet."
Ok, he really isn't making this easy for me, I grumble changing into my pajamas.
*Michael*
"WHAT?!" Nash yelled and I held the phone away from my ear. "Dad gave you information on her and you..."
"Yes," I snapped, "Did you just call to yell at me.""No," Nash sighed, "I made some calls and got you a job at mechanic shop."
"Where?" I asked, "And how?"
"Called in a favor," Nash said.
"Thanks," I quickly hung up and headed to the address.
"Alright, just come in tomorrow morning." the shop owner says shaking my hand.
"Thanks," I said before heading back to the apartment. Now to start working on getting Jessa to trust me again.
"What?" Jessa said opening the door, "I never agreed to a second date."
Date? What the f*ck? I think confused, before walking to the doorway and watching her talk on the phone.
"Nope," she laughed, "Creepy... Eww, he was disgusting... Still into love with the ex... Rude... Wanted to get married... Old... Ugly... Only talked about his best friend... Gay... Married, forgot to take his ring off... Look every date I go on that you set up didn't work," I chuckled and Jessa looked at me, "Jack, I gotta go, see you tomorrow."
"Sounds like a rough love life," I chuckle.
"Shut it, Mickey." she grumbles pushing past me. "Long time since I heard that name." I say and she tenses slightly.
"Yeah," she whispered, "Anyway, how the job search"
"Going to start working at a mechanic shop tomorrow." I shrug, "Nash called in a favor."
"That's great. Anyway, I have a long day tomorrow so... Night." and she rushes past.
"Great, can't have one conversation without her running off," I groan before flopping on the couch.

"Morning sweetheart," Devon says when I hand him his coffee, "Why don't we go out for drinks tonight."
"Nope," I smile sweetly, "I'm training with Greg. You remember him right Devon?"
"Asking you out again," Jack says walking past.
"Yup," I sigh, "Some guys don't get the memo." and some guys do but you don't want them too.
"Afternoon little mouse," Tony says and I roll my eyes walking over to Greg.
"Hey," I say sitting on the bench, "What are we working on tonight?"
"Defense," he grunts punching the bag, "Also need to time your running."
"Ug, I hate running," I groan before standing up to stretch.
"Faster," Greg yells, "Anyone would be able to grab you with as slow as your going."
"Screw...off...Greg..." I pant but speed up. Forty laps later I collapse on the cold floor breathing heavy.
"I think you killed her," I heard Tony say before poking me with his shoe, "You alive?"
"Barley," I groan, "Remind me again why I agreed to train with you." I ask sitting up and downing the bottle of water Tony handed me and they both laughed at me. "Meanie," I pout.
"Where have you... You look like hell." Michael say when I walk in the door.
"The gym," I groan flopping down on the couch, "Training with Greg and Tony."
"Who's Tony?" Michael asks handing me a glass of water.
"Owns the gym. I'm going to take a shower, can you order pizza I don't feel like cooking." I say as I make my way to the bathroom.
"How'd you meet Greg?" Michael asked while we sat on the couch eating pizza and watching reruns of Boy Meets World.
"He saved me from being hurt." I shrugged, "Then appointed himself my bodyguard. Not that I mind he's a great guy. How was your first day?"
"Great, pissed off some of the younger kids that thought the knew everything about cars." Michael smiled, "But, I loved working on cars again."
"That's great." I smiled at him and leaned back. "I'm glad that you enjoyed it."
