"Hey mum," I say, "I just got to Caspar's."
"Oh honey I'm so glad that you arrived safely, I was worried something might have happened to you.." she replies frantically
"Mum, I'm fine. You have to stop worrying so much. I have to go and finish unpacking but I'll give you a call later, ok?"
"Sure honey, tell Caspar I say hi," my mum says and with that she hangs up.
Caspar said that I could put my things in the cupboard near my bed. It it massive, with plenty of leftover room after I put all my belongings away.
There's a knock on the bedroom and before I can say "come in", the door opens and Joe pops his head through, looking slightly more cheerful than before.
"Caspar wants you to come upstairs, there's someone he wants you to meet," then he disappears.
I follow Joe out the door and up the stairs towards the kitchen, where I can hear a group of people talking, but I only recognise Caspar's voice. As a reach the top step I am met with a tight hug and a face full of hair. My hugger pulls away from me, and I am able to see who it is. A beautiful girl with long ombre hair beams at me. Something about her seems oddly familiar, though I can't put my finger on it.
"I'm Zoe; it's so nice to finally meet you. Caspar had told me so much about you," she says then turns to face Joe who is hunched over on the couch. "And I see you've already met Joseph," she says rolling her eyes.
"Shut up Zoe," Joe called from the other side of the room.
"Ah, sibling rivalry, don't you just love it!" Caspar chuckles.
I don't know how I didn't see it before. Joe and Zoe look so similar.
"Casp, I've got to go, Alfie's waiting in the car. I just wanted to pop in and introduce myself. Well I'll see you later guys." Zoe pads over to Joe, gives him a hug from behind which he returns and leaves, waking goodbye to me.
"Well Zoe's definitely a morning person," I say and Caspar bursts into a fit of laughter, earning a glare from Joe, which only makes him laugh harder.
"Do you guys have anything planned for today?" I ask Caspar and Joe, although Joe ignores me.
"Well I'm going out later with my mate Oli, you're welcome to come if you want." Caspar offers.
"Oh no, I'm fine. I've got a fair bit to do like organising a rental car. Thanks though," I reply.
"Well at least Joe will keep you company," he says sarcastically, a smile appearing on his face.
Great, a whole day with this antisocial and intolerable guy is just what I need.
Seeing the look on my face, Caspar leans forward towards me.
"Don't worry; he's not so bad once you get to know him. He's just a little guarded, that's all," he reassures me.
"Well I don't have to leave till later, so do you want to do some sightseeing or have the grand tour of London accompanied by yours truly?" He asks."Sounds like a plan to me," I smile.
"Great, well let's go then. You wanna come Joe?" No response. "I'll take that as a no then."
I go back downstairs and retrieve my wallet and phone from by carry-on luggage and rush back upstairs, not wanting to keep Caspar too long.
Caspar, with keys in hand and phone in pocket, opens the door for me and we both walk out, and head downstairs.
