As Tumblr Girls from G-Eazy was softly playing in the background we drove around a little through the streets of Los Angeles. The stars were shining bright, the temperature was nice and we thought it would be nice.
Swazz and I decided to go for a little drive since we were both bored. We used to do this often, but totally forgot about it out of a sudden.
We both loved driving at midnight. We were both nightowls so it was perfect. And everytime we drove around, I got to know him a little better than I already did. He would tell about his childhood or either tell what was on his mind lately. I did exactly the same and we listened to each other to entire time. "Where do you think you'll be in ten years?" He asked me.
I thought about it for a while. It was a good question. Usually I would answer something simple like, have a family, but this time it was different. "I don't know. I hope to be with you. Don't know what will happen to me in the future." I admitted.
The future terrified me, not only because you couldn't know what was going to happen, but also because I was afraid of losing my beloved ones. "I hope we'll stay together. Ten years is a shit load of time." I sighed.
"I agree. But nothing will ever make me want to break up with you." He softly mumbled.
My stomach made a weird feeling and I smiled. "It might sound a little unbelieving, but I really do think of being with you in the future. I'm really hoping to have a fam with you one day. And I keep thinking to myself 'what if she doesn't?' and then the thought of a family in ten years is completely gone." My smile faded at the last part.
"I do. I really do." I said while intertwining our hands. "Fun fact, you... you were the only thing I looked forward too when we started talking." I hashly swallowed. "I was in such a shit part of life, and you made it fade away without even knowing."
I looked over at him and saw the corners of his mouth going up a little. "That's the most amazing thing you've ever told me." His voice was gently and sweet. "Knowing that I made you happy is the most amazing thing." John said while nodding.
"You still make me happy. You always will. Even in the future. I don't know what will happen, but I'm sure you'll still be here with me." I looked out of the window and lightly circled on Swazz' hand.
The sky was literally black. But it was beautiful with a hint of stars peeking through. I loved car-rides like this. "I want to be with you in the future, I really fucking do. I... I can't imagine being with someone else. I can't imagine being without you." John told me.
My smile widened at his words. I never knew he thought about me like this. John was good at hiding his feelings, but I always managed to go through his 'barrier'. "I love you, Swazz. I always have, I always will. Don't even think of me being with someone else or you being with someone else. I'll always be here."
His face turned to face me very shortly and we smiled at each other. It was the sort kind of smile we switched when he asked me out. "I love you too. Promise me," he pointed his pinky out. "that we'll stay together. No matter how shitty things will be."
I looked at him before intertwining our pinkies. "I promise."
