-Erica xxx"Nice to meet you." I squeaked out. Oh my Lord Ava you sound like an idiot! "Um...so I'm new and I've come to collect my schedule... Oh! I'm Ava Brooklyn!" The secretary chuckled at me. "Yes darling here you are." She passed a slip of paper that I assumed was my schedule. She wished me a warn good luck before I spun out and left the office. So I guess I'll have to find...room 524. Now, where is that again? After walking aimlessly for 10 minutes, I sadly concluded that I was comepletely, utterly, absolutely lost. Well...damn. "Fudge little monsters and dragons." I cursed under my breath.
"Ow! Curse you big lump of baboon!!" My head whacked into a hard, really hard surface. I heard amused laughter before looking up and seeing someone's chest. Well. Don't I feel short. "Big lump of baboon, I've got to use that soon!" I looked all the way up and was met with deep forest green eyes. It was so prettyyyyyyyy...
"Like what you see?" The green-eyed stranger smirked knowingly. My face blushed bright red and I stammered out "n-no... I...your- your eyes..fore- very um green..." He boomed out laughing. Great, I have this impressively hot guy laughing. At my expense. Did I mention how hot he was? Well, he was. "You're funny babe I'll give you that." Did this guy just call me babe? What??
"So I take it that you are lost?" He asked me, amusement still clear in his eyes. "Yeah, um do you know where room 524 is?" I whispered. "What's that? A hole is a wall?" The stranger cupped his ear, signaling he could not hear me, or was pretending not to. I'm guessing it was the second one. "Room 524!" I spoke a little louder. He grinned satisfactorily and gestured for me to follow him. "Lucky for you, I have the same class. Literature right?" He paused. "I'm Austin by the way. Austin Evans James. Heard of me babe?" He turned around with an expectant look. I glanced at him stupidly. "What? Oh I'm Ava Sabella Brooklyn. No...I'm new, how could I have heard of you?" I questioned, biting my lips nervously.
Austin sighed. "Well, everyone has heard of me. I mean...look at this face." He gestured cockily to himself. I rolled my eyes, egoistical much? "So why'd you transfer here?" He probed. "Oh, I'm here for a tennis scholarship. I love tennis, I live for it." I grinned. Austin gasped dramatically, putting a hand to his heart. "Really? Me too! Tennis rocks!" So turns out Austin is on a tennis scholarship too...
"Here we are! You first, milady!" He announced with a horrible British accent. I muttered a quick thank you and hurried into the room. All eyes on me and I hated it. Sheesh pumpkins and watermelons I was just a new student. The teacher was a pretty lady in her mid-twenties with a black blouse and a pink skirt. She smiled at me, "are you Ava Brooklyn?" I shyly nodded my head. "Well I understand why Miss Ava here is late but you. Austin Evans James. Why are you late?" She questioned with a stern gaze. "Ms Kiranda! I was just showing dear Ava here the room." "She got lost." He added after everyone shot him weird yet awed looks. Great, now I'm known as the girl who has bad navigational skills. "Ava dear, go take a seat next to Austin please." Austin? As in the cocky, ego-inflated, arrogant, jerk Austin? No! But I nodded politely and smiled weakly, settling down into my seat. Well, maybe I can change seat... "I hope you all remember your seat because it's permanent." Someone, anyone, a kind soul, shoot me now. The girl beside me shot me a sympathetic look. "I'm Savannah Evelyn Roche! But everyone calls me Sav!" I shook her hand, laughing when she pulled me into a hug. "I'm Ava Sabella Brooklyn. I'm new here." I nearly smacked myself. Of course I'm new here the teacher just said that! Savannah had really long, chestnut brown hair with big, light brown eyes and around 5'8. She was really pretty. Savannah grinned widely, "I take it you're really quiet. But I sense your dislike towards the fat hippo next to you. So that makes you my best friend." I almost chocked, fat hippo? Seems like I found a girl to hate Austin with. After Literature was over, Austin leaned over, "bye baboon girl." I turned around with a comeback and he was gone. Might as well, I had no comebacks to think of.
During lunch, Savannah dragged me over to a table with six other people. Well, this was awkward. "Guys! Listen up, I've found my new best buddy." Everyone looked at me and said "good luck" together. "Shut up guys. So this is Skylar Liliana Lloyd." Savannah pointed to a dark haired 5'9 beauty. "That is Connor Max Anderson." Pointing to a blonde haired guy with green eyes and 6'2. "That's Tyler Nolan Gray." Pointing to a black haired, blue eyed guy who was 6'2 as well. "That's Adara Kathy Finch and her twin, Camilla Kaelyn Finch." Pointing to two girls. One with strawberry blonde hair, light brown eyes and 5'4 and the other with platinum blonde hair, dark brown eyes and 5'6. "Lastly, that is our one and only Chase Ashton Phillips." Pointing to a hazel brown hair with blonde streaks guy with blue eyes and long eyelashes and was around 6'3. Cheesecake he was hot. They all said hi and I sat down.
"So what's the deal with you and Austin?" Skylar cocked her head to one side. "Um... I don't know really, he's a jerk though." I mumbled back. "She's a keeper Sav!" Connor grinned cheekily. I blushed. "Aww look at that she's blushing!" Savannah laughed loudly. "Where the fuck-" Tyler started angrily and I gasped. The whole table turned to me. "You...you..." I pointed a trembling finger at befuddled Tyler while the whole table glanced around worriedly. "You swore!" I whispered. The whole table's jaws dropped and they burst out laughing. "Don't laugh at me! You big fat oaf! You deserve a death spell, mm hm." I nodded firmly like a mother deciding a punishment for her child. Tyler quirked an eyebrow at me. "You call me fat?" He scoffed, lifting up his shirt to reveal his defined 6-pack and flexing his arms. I groaned and shoved him away. "Look at theses babies, they're pretty strong aren't they?" I rolled my eyes and mentally gagged. "Fine. So maybe you aren't fat. But you are still a mummified little chicken nugget." I grinned at Tyler. Chase burst out laughing beside me. Oh Lord, his voice...so soft...so velvety like a fluffy pillow and a fea- snap out of it Ava!
"Ava?" Camilla snapped me back to reality. My cheeks burned when I realised she asked me a question. "Um...could you repeat that?" Camilla grinned at me mischievously. Oh no...I don't like that look at all. "So...how you liking school so far?" She drawled out lazily. "It's alright apart from an insufferable baboon." I huffed. "I'm assuming that baboon is Austin?" Connor clenched his fists. Woah what got him so angry? "Yeah... Hey Connor you okay?" I asked anxiously. He relaxed visibly and nodded curtly, "I'm good." And promptly left the table. Ok... Well... I glanced at Savannah and saw that she was deep in conversation with Adara. Tyler was tapping me and Chase was poking me and I felt like whacking them with a book. They will fall to the floor dead. Hah!
Camilla sighed. "Hey Cam, what's up?" She looked at me with teary eyes, "Connor's my boyfriend but he has been so distant lately, I know why but I don't know how to help him and..." She broke into sobs. I hugged her and rubbed her back soothingly. "What problem?" Camilla scratched the back of her head. "Look, I'm sorry Ava but it's not in my place to tell you..." Well. I'm going to find out the secret that this group is hiding from me no matter what I have to do. I bet my peanut butter cookies and fudge brownies on that. That's a pretty big bet.
