Haley
I fluffed my hair one last time as I prepared to walk out the door. Vin was going to pick me up to go out to dinner, and I was nervous as all hell. He would be here any minute, and I was anxious to get it over with.
We had been together for all these years, but he just didn't treat me like he used to. It's like I'm more of a sex slave then a girlfriend. He doesn't care about me anymore, and it took someone else showing me what I was missing out on for me to realize it.
I hoped Vin wouldn't take this too harshly. It would make my life easier if he just accepted it, but somehow, I thought it wouldn't go that easily.
I watched his motorcycle pull onto the street and rolled my eyes. I hated that piece of shit motorcycle. It always broke down, leaving me on the side of the road while Vin walked to a mechanic or friend for help.
I grabbed some money and headed out the front door, locking it behind me.
When Vin saw me, his eyes lit up. "Hey baby. Ready to go?" he asked.
I just nodded my head, and we were off- weaving between the cars. Although, I couldn't help but realize we were going the opposite way of town.
I tapped Vin on the shoulder. "Where're we going?" I asked.
His mouth turned up into a smile. "I thought we'd have a little fun before dinner." he smirked.
I dreaded to think what he had in mind, but it was too late to jump off now. After a good twenty minutes, we pulled up in front of an apartment building.
"Here we are." he grinned, reaching for my hand. I carefully shied away, shoving my hand in my pockets instead. I was furious
"Why are we here, Vin? We were supposed to go out to dinner." I complained.
"Relax, baby. We'll get there in due time. I just thought we could have a little fun first." his grin was wicked, and it made me regret this even more.
He knocked on the door, and a guy I've never met answered. "Hey man, come on in!" he greets.
I guess I didn't have much of a choice but to go inside with him.
"Mike, this is my girlfriend Haley. Haley, this is Mike, he's a good-uh- friend." Vin stuttered, sliding his hand onto the small of my back.
"Nice to meet you." I cooed shyly, reaching to shake his hand. Instead, he kissed it. I pulled my hand away quickly. Fucking creep.
Mike looked me up and down, and it made me uncomfortable. I shifted on my feet, staring at the floor.
"So, are you ready to get this party started?" Mike asked.
"Not really." I answered honestly. "I was supposed to be going out to dinner."
"Oh, there'll be dinner. All you can eat buffet." he smirked, and it was unsettling.
Vin turned to me. "Mike and I have some business to work out. The living room is that way." Vin said, pointing to his right. Without a word, I walked towards the room.
Dismissed like a child, by my own boyfriend.
What kind of business was Vin doing? Band stuff? Drugs?
I knew Vin smoked weed. Nearly everyone did. Sometimes he'd buy cocaine, but I was never into that stuff. I wondered if this could be a drug deal. It probably was.
After a few minutes of staring at the clock on the wall, Vin and Mike returned. "Mike and I worked out a little something. It's for you." Vin said with a devious grin. He wasn't himself anymore. He was the drugs, whichever one he had just taken.
