Beep Beep. The machine noise cut through the silence, as my family and friends stood around my white hospital bed. I could hear what was happening, what they were saying, and yet I couldn't speak to them, I couldn't move to hug them, I couldn't tell them I was ok.
As my parents heard the creaking of the door and they turned around the doctor stepped in. "Hello" he said in a deep tone "I understand this is a tough time" he paused, I could hear my parents starting to cry. "But could I speak to Mr and Mrs Hill" the doctor said. My mum stood forward "y-yes that's us" you could hear the worry in her voice. " May I speak to you in private" the doctor said knowing only of the news he was about to give, "either in here or out there" he pointed to the door then looked back at my parents. "W-we" she took a breathe "we would like to be in here" mum continued, loosing her voice every second word. "Ok then" the doctor turned to my friends "I must ask you to leave if you wouldn't mind?" My friends did little nod and quietly left the room. "Now, your daughter is stable, when you brought her in she had lost a lot of blood, so we had to force her into a coma" the doctor came over and gave my mum a hug. A sob let out of my mum as she turned around into my dads shoulder, you could here the crying loudly from my mum but nothing from my dad he was frozen unable to move. "W-Wh-e" my dad tried to let the word out. Mhm he cleared his throat. " when will she wake up?" Dad saying with worry through his voice.
"Honestly" the doctor paused " we don't know it could be a week, a month or even a year, I'm so sorry" the doctor replied. My dad slowly said "thank you, thank you for everything."
