Karla's POV

Today's my first day as an editor at Vogue in New York and I'm already late.

I'm dressed and my makeup is perfection, but hair is a mess.
I rushed and wrapped my hair into a messy knot bun. I grab my purse and smoothie and run out of the door and outside to hail a taxi.

I rushed the driver to Vogue, but traffic was making it impossible to get there and I was already fifteen minutes late. I gave the driver five dollars and rushed into the building as quick as I could in heels.

I calmly walked to the receptionist, she was a petite blonde with heavily arched eyebrows.

"How can I help you?" she asked.

"I'm Karla its my first day here and I'm late." I replied.

"Oh yes, I was informed to guide you to the top floor to Mrs.Wintour's office. She's the top floor and straight down and largest door in the middle."

"Thank you."

I walked to the elevator and and pressed the 30th floor and quickly made my way to the office.

I knocked and heard a voice say "Come in."

I opened the door and smiled at a lady with a very sleek bob cut that was grey.

"Hello Ms. Rezy, I'm your boss and I see your running a little late but its okay. You'll be an editor for photoshoots and interviews and will start today with our new model Stephen James. Do some research and figure out the rest and your office is on the 20th floor down the hallway and make a right and the door direct in the center." She said while typing not even looking up once.

"Thank you so much and please just call me Karla."

"Well bye Karla." she waved and I left silently.

I went to my office its amazing its pretty well sized with glass surrounding and an amazing view of the city. I even have a little plaque outside of my door.

A lady with jet black hair pranced right into my office. I looked at her and she needed a makeover bad. She had boyfriend jeans on with some beatup vans and an oversize sweater. Her square glasses were pushed far up her face and her hair was in a messy bun.

"Hey, I'm Carli I'm your assistant because your an editor so whatever you need I'm here. And here are you assignments for the new model." she handed over a portfolio and some papers and then left.

I sat down and took my Macbook out of my purse and plugged up my phone because it was dying. I looked through the papers and the portfolio and this man was hot like on fire like he was gorgeous to the max.

The papers were saying at 11:30 his photoshoots was on the 26th floor and I needed to be down there it was 11:00. I took some selfies and scrolled through Instagram and Twitter and played some Smashy Road until it was about 11:15. I grabbed my purse, phone, and Macbook and locked my office and headed to the 26th floor.

When I get in their people were running around frantically with cameras and clothes everywhere. I found a desk on the side so I sat down and pulled out my Macbook.

"Hey you must be Karla, I'm Franco and I'm the photographer. Today you will just be helping me with the shoot and watching and just feeling out not so much typing." a man in his late 40s said to me. I just nodded and grabbed my phone and put my Mac back in my purse.

I walked over with him and then he told me to check on the model in the dressing room. I walked over to the dressing room and knocked.

"What do you want?" an angry voice yelled.

"Umm the photographer wanted me to make sure your ready. Need any help?" I tried to not make him angrier.

"Come in." he replied.

I walked in to be met with a gorgeous tattooed man from head to toe with a towel hanging loosely around his waist.

My jaw dropped and I just stared at him from head to toe taking in his beauty.

"Its not cute to drool, butterfly." he chuckled.

"I'm sorry, I'm ... I'm Karla and I will be watching and helping with the shoot today but I'm an editor for Vogue its my first day." I stuck out my hand for a shake.

"I'm Stephen, butterfly. " he grabbed my hand and kissed each finger before I hand the chance to pull away.

I wiped my hand on my jeans. "Well anyway do you need any help with anything because were ready to go."

"I need you to get out so I can get ready."he yelled with dark eyes and his body language changed from flirty to mean.

I quickly ran out and got right back on my phone as I walked to the camera. Today's photoshoot was going to be crazy and its only my first day.
