Karla's POV
Lunch was a disaster. Stephen texted me saying something came up and that he couldn't make it to lunch. It was good because I had a lot of work with a side assignment on an spread about Rihanna.
I got out of work and rushed home to get ready since it was six o'clock when I got out of work.
I quickly got in the shower making sure not to wet my hair at all. I put on my white dress after I put lotion on and did my makeup. I quickly straightened my hair before tucking it behind my ears. I put my favorite jewelry on and then my phone started ringing. It was Stephen.
"Umm, hello?" I said while grabbing my shoes.
"Im outside."
"I'll be down." I then hung up put my heels on and grabbed my clutch and sprayed some perfume before locking my door and going outside.
Stephen looked gorgeous. He had an all white suit on with nude shoes and his hair was slicked back. He knew how to dress. He was leaning against his truck with a big bouquet of white and red roses.
"You look beautiful, I'm speechless." he smiled as he handed me the roses.
"Thank you, and you look handsome." I blushed and hugged him. He was shocked at first before sliding his slick fingers to my butt.
"Hey!" I laughed before pulling away. He opened the door for me and I got in and put the roses in the back. He got in and we started driving through the city that never sleeps.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
"Its a surprise butterfly."
I just nodded and turned the radio on and Drake's "Hotline Bling" came on. I started dancing and I noticed him laughing.
"What's funny?" I laughed.
"You are so cute when you dance like no ones watching." he grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers and continued driving.
I felt goosebumps and tingles all through my body. After driving for about 15 minutes. We pulled up to The Rainbow Room. The only most exclusive restaurant in New York. Months for reservations and plenty of celebrities have eaten here.
"Are you serious." I breathed in shock as I stared at the building.
Only for my butterfly." he intertwined our fingers and walked me in the restaurant.
A host looked at Stephen James and asked " I think your in the wrong place sir. Applebee's is down the street." she rolled her eyes.
"No, I've made reservations for here. Reservation for James in the private room." he glared at her.
"Oh, I'm so sorry...Um take the elevator to the 40th floor and that's yours sir." she awkwardly apologized.
"Why do people judge me based on my tattoos. " he said with hurt in his eyes.
"Because they don't know who you really are and how sexy and handsome and funny of a guy you are." I smiled hugging him in the elevator.
"Thanks butterfly." he kissed my forehead just as the elevator doors opened.
My jaw dropped at what I saw. Infront of my eyes was a giant chandelier in the center and a table for two with a rose in vase. The view was the perfect view of Manhattan's skyline.
"This is amazing, but why me Stephen." I looked at him.
"Because your my butterfly and you give me hope that someone will truly like me or dont judge me that's why." he gently lifted my chin to look in his eyes.
Staring at them I got so lost. They were a pale blue almost grey. I felt like his eyes would tell anything.
Before I realized it our lips connected and he started kissing me. At first I was shocked and then I kissed back. The kiss had my body numb and took me out of reality until he pulled away and I came back to reality.
I smiled at him.
"You have very pretty eyes." I giggled.
"So do you."
"My eyes are just plain brown, they're ugly."
"Not to me." he said while guiding me to my chair as I sat down and then a waiter came from a door in the room.
"What would guys like to drink first?" he asked.
"I would like a glass of Dona Blanca." I smiled.
"And for the sir?" the waiter looked at him scared to death.
"Can I just get the same as her but add two glasses of water as well."
"Perfect." the waiter said and quickly came back with everything.
"Your not a big wine fan?" I looked at him while taking a sip.
"I'm not because I workout so I just like to mainly drink only on special occasions."
"Tell me about yourself Butterfly." he smirked.
"Well, I'm the youngest of five, three brothers and one sister. And my parents considered me the baby so they never wanted me to do anything, but I decided I'm 21 and I need my own life. I got into Vogue, left Miami and moved here about a month ago. Howabout you?" I smiled.
"Well butterfly since your so interested in me I'll tell you. Well, I was born in the UK but with my father always traveling I was all over Europe and I played soccer. When I got older I played professional soccer until I injured myself and then became a model and started getting tattoos and piercings." he finished.
"Wow, didn't see you as a soccer player."
"And I didn't see you as the baby." he laughed.
The waiter came back and I order grilled chicken Alfredo and Stephen ordered lasagna.
After we chatted some more and finished eating we left the resturant and decided to just walk the streets of Manhattan.
We walked past stores I could never afford things from, but then we stopped in one store I wish I could afford and it was Christian Louboutin.
We walked in there and I thought I was gonna die. There was the cutest pair of white pointed heels but they were $700 I didn't have. And there was another pair of open toe nude platform's over $1000.
"You like both of those." Stephen pointed to the ones I was drooling over.
"Yes but I can't afford that." I sighed and pulled Stephen out the store.
The night ended with mochi ice cream and a kiss goodnight and seeing him tomorrow at his photshoot.
The night couldn't have ended any better.
