Emily's POV:
Why am I even feeling like this, I shouldn't feel like this anyways. It's not like Alison or Ms.D whatever, likes me. She seemed more interested in that guy, Jason. I think that was his name, Emily hold on stop thinking about this. Forget about her it's not like I'll have a chance with her. I just have to be like I was before she even got here. Yeah that's what I should do.
"Hey Emily!" Maya says.
"Um hey." I reply.
"So you going to class already?" She asks.
"Uh no not yet, I was just about to-"
"Emily!" Samara says.
"Hey, well I have to go Maya. See you in class!" I say while taking Samara's had and walking with her.
"What?! Emily what?!" Maya says.
"See you in class!" I say while rushing away with Samara.
"Emily, she has liked you since like forever!" Samara laughs.
"I know but I don't like her in that way, just like a friend though." I say.
"Oh and what about me?" She asks.
"Well that's different, you're pretty hot so yeah." I say.
"What is that suppose to mean, that I'm just yeah?" She laughs.
"Um I guess so, but I like you so yeah."
"Well I like you too, so yeah." She says and we both laugh.
"Then that's good!" I smile.
"It is!" She says.
"Well we have arrived to class my lady!" I say while we enter art class.
"Thank you!" She says as I walk her to her seat.
"And thank you again, Emily!" She says.
"You're welcome!" I smile while walking towards my seat.
"What was that all about?" Hanna asks.
"What was what about?" I ask.
"You know what I'm talking about, Emily."
"Yeah I do!" I laugh.
"It's not funny, now tell me. Are you dating Samara?" Hanna asks.
"Uh not yet." I simply reply.
"So you're planning on dating her?"
"Maybe."
"Maybe?"
"Yeah maybe."
"Um okay class let's get started, Emily can you pass out the folders?" Ms.D says.
"Yes ma'am." I reply while walking over to the folders.
As I pass the folders out some girls check me out and I just wink at them. They smile and giggle, making me smile back at them.
"Here's your folder." I smile at Samara and then walk back to my seat.
I looked up at Ms.D and she was kind of serious, I don't know why. Maybe she's just like that.
"Anyways girls, today you will write anything about a book you have read. Any part about it will be good for what you will write. You will present afterwards." Ms.D says.
We all then begin working and I think about Great Expectations the only book I have actually paid attention to. She said any part would work so I start working on it.
[....]
"Hanna your turn." Ms.D says.
"Well okay so um this are parts from the book I chose!" Hanna excitedly says.
"Okay you may continue Ms.Marin." Ms.D says.
"Oh yeah of course, so here it goes. In the light of the moon a little egg lay on a leaf." Some of the girls started laughing as well as me.
"Girls I'm being serious here!" Hanna says.
"Ms.Marin continue please." Ms.D said and I could see she was trying not to laugh.
"Okay my other part is "He was a big, fat caterpillar. He built a small house, called a cocoon, around himself. He stayed inside for more than two weeks. Then he nibbled a hole in the cocoon, pushed his way out and...he was a butterfly! There I'm done!" Hanna says.
"Thank you Ms.Marin for the parts of the book you chose." Ms.D says.
All the girls are silent because they're trying so hard not to laugh, including me.
"Fine girls you can all laugh." Hanna says, and seconds later the girls start laughing. Even Ms.D, so Hanna just laughed along with us.
"Okay girls that's enough, thank you Hanna." Ms.D says.
"Welcome animals! And Ms.D." Hanna says.
"Okay now, it's Emily's turn." Ms.D says.
I then get up and look at my paper ready to start reading from it.
Alison's POV:
Emily gets up and looks at her paper ready to start reading. I really don't know what to expect from her since you never know what she could do.
"Okay so here it goes. It was one of those March days when the sun shines hot and the wind blows cold: when it is summer in the light and winter in the shade. That is one of them, but this is my favorite. I loved her against reason, against promise, against peace, against hope, against happiness, against all discouragement that could be." Emily said.
While she was reading I couldn't help but look at her, the way she read, the way her lips moved. She's perfect. I then started talking as well.
"Suffering has been stronger than all other teaching, and taught me to understand what your heart used to be. I have been bent and broken, but I hope into a better shape." I said.
"That's from Great Expectations too." Emily says.
"It is, and the quote you said last, is my favorite too. Thank you Emily for showing this to the class." I say.
"Welcome." She says.
Everyone then started clapping and I'm glad they did because Emily did a great job. It's good that she didn't goofed off like usually.
Emily's POV:
Everyone started clapping so I guess they liked it. I thought it wasn't that good but they liked it so I guess it was. I didn't know Ms.D also read that book. Anyways why should I care she's only my teacher.
The bell ringed so it's time to go, my punishment is over so I don't have to stay after school anymore.
"Emily that was really good!" Samara says as she walks over to me.
"Thanks, anyways want to go the Brew?" I ask.
"Yes, but don't you have to stay after school?" She asks.
"Nope I don't have to anymore." I say.
"Okay then let's go!"
"Yeah let's go!" I say as we exit Ms.D's classroom.
