--Felix's POV--

"Why are we doing this again?" Chey whined from behind. "There's no personal gain in starting a war with this guy. All it'll do is wipe out the kingdom, if not more."

"Chey, come on. The Queen ordered us to help, so we'll help," Russ answered simply. Snake, riding with Jund on the other horse, nodded in agreement.

"But hunting for a magi more powerful than-"

"What're you waiting for, slow pokes?" Ohm pulls in front of us, practically throwing Ken off the horse. "If we're ever gonna catch this guy, we gotta go!"

I sigh and speed up my horse, Marzia tightening her grip on my waist and burying her head into my shoulder. She never was one to ride a horse...

--

We hop off our horses, arriving at the ashes of Okran.

"This was a city?" I ask, running a hand through my wind-stricken hair.

"Apparently," Ken says, kneeling down and pulling out a map, pointing at a small dot. "We're here. This whole area," He circles around the dot, creating a large circle, "Burnt down in the fire."

"So all the evidence was burnt," Chey says, rolling her eyes.

"Yes, however-"

"Ken, everything is gone. Can I go back?"

"Chey, listen to me. As I was looking around before, I noticed a cave a ways back."

"Good work, Ken. We have a cave. And a burnt down town that we can't use for anything."

"Guys-"

"SHUT UP PEWDIE!" They yell at the same time. I back off as they begin to argue again. I turn to Marzia, who was white in the face. I wrap my arms around her waist and hiss her cheek.

"It'll be okay, babe."

"But what if something bad happens?"

"I'll protect you. I promise."

"ENOUGH!" Snake yells, making me jump a bit and let go of Marzia. "I have had enough of you two fighting! We're going to the cave, seeing as it's our best lead so far. On the horses," No one moved, quite shocked from Snake's sudden outburst. "NOW!"

Everyone moved after that.

--

"Who's going into the cave?" I ask, jumping off my horse.

"Well, we need someone who's quick on their feet, can battle, and at least one magi," Ken says, jotting something down in his Toasty Journal.

"Chey..." Ohm looks over at her, and her eyes grow wide.

"You cannot expect me to go in that cave. No way," Chey backs up,putting her hands out in front of her.

"Look, I'll go in with you," Jund smiles, walking away from Snake.

"No."

"Snake-"

"No."

"Babe, it'll be fine-"

"No! You're not going in. We don't know what's in there!"

"I'm going in."

He sighs, running a hand down his face. "I can't make you stay, can I?"

"Unfortunately not."

Snake takes off his green headdress, tying it around Jund's forehead. "Stay safe," He pulls Jund close, kissing him passionately.
