It was time. Physically, the boy had recovered... mentally, not quite yet. All he needed was just a little shove, the smallest little hint about his past to set him off and restore everything. Except for his eyes, of course. However... No one was aware of this until the mistake was already made.
After a long day of searching the manor and getting familiar with the halls, Alois would finally get to go to Ciel. God, how he wanted to be able to hold his hand again. He missed it more than anything. He walked down the hall latched onto his demon at his hip, tugging on his coat impatiently.
"Is Ciel here yet? Huh?"
Claude sighed and gave him a small pat on the head, brushing back his blonde bangs. He really was adorable in this state.
"I'm not sure, Your Highness. We'll find out when we reach the entrance, he might be waiting for you down there."
The blonde giggled in excitement. He wanted hug Ciel again, and kiss his cheek, and be close to him. They continued to walk on in silence for a little while before yet another question struck the young Trancy's brain and he looked up at Claude with curiosity gleaming in his dulled blue eyes.
"Say, Claude... What was the name of that boy in your story? The older brother?"
Claude had to think on how to respond to this question for a moment. He knew he could use Alois's current name, but using his previous name wouldn't do any damage, right?
"It was Jim, Master. Jim Macken."
A pause.
"Jim Macken...Hm."
Alois repeated the words of the demon before suddenly stopping in tracks. Jim Macken. Jim Macken. He knew this name, he swore it. Was it... A friend? A relative? A servant...? Or was it... Him? His heart began to beat wildly. He was remembering something, something that hurt. Something that made him not want to recognize that name for all that was holy.
"M..me... I.."
Alois said this very quietly, though his frail mumbling still got the attention of the demon in front of him. As Claude turned to look back at his master with confusion, the blonde spoke once again.
"A-and... And Luca... Oh, my god... Luca..."
It hit him like a freight train. Ever single last little memory... it was all there. he dropped to the floor and began to tremble there, the rate of his heart only spiking up and up and up. This was overwhelming, where had all of this come from?! A spider... A man... Bruises, fire, red, everything... It was all there. Claude immediately turned and rushed to aid him, but as soon as he brought a hand down to comfort the young earl, he smacked his hand away. How he knew it was approaching, there was no way to tell.
"Get your hands off me, you filthy fucking murderer. You don't care about me, you only care about sucking up my soul... Son of a bitch..."
As Alois looked out and unhid his face, the sight to see was horrific. Hannah did mention that he would be able to cry on rare occasions, and this was one of those times. However... there was no water. Instead, the blood from his busted tear ducts leaked down his face from every little corner of his eyes, making him look like he'd just come straight from a horror movie.
"Y-your Highness... Your eyes..."
"Do I look like I give a damn about my eyes?! I'm not an idiot, I realize what Hannah did to me."
