AIRPLANES AND JET LAGS ARE SOMETHING SHE COULD NEVER BE FOND WITH. It always leaves impressions of stiff backs, sore legs, grumpy moods, nosy gossips, sobbing children, a bad sleeping schedule, and a heavy head that always feel like suffocating with the aftereffects of sleeping pills. Everything was just downright awful.
Itou Hoshino would have preferred to travel on a cruise ship. She wanted to bathe under the golden glares of the sun, drink shots of cocktail, feel the salty brine of the sea breeze cascading down to her skin, take in the sight of spilled ink sky filled with the corpses of stars, and maybe-just maybe-even mingle with some loose crowds that have their heads sunk deep within the haze of hormones and euphoria in the neon shades of nightlife with music blaring loud and flushed skin starved for something unrealistic called love. Those sounded more wild and exhilarating than where she is right now, hunched in her seat with tired eyes and messy hair that looked like a storm had whisked in and raised an anomaly to ruin her.
At some point, Hoshino believed that it would have been better if she did not receive that flight ticket on a much earlier note ( not that it matters because, in the end, she will still have it ). She could have canceled it, sold it even for the hell of it just to earn extra cash in her pockets. But Taylor would know all of these little schemes and might even threaten to call her beloved okaa-sama if she continued being stubborn.
So Hoshino had no choice but to relent. Not because she was afraid━━no, she just finds it uselessly tiring to argue when it is easy to solve. She let him take the win this time, gloat about it with a smug grin on that pretty face of his. He is predictable enough to do all that. This is why Itou Hoshino is never too fond of this man named Taylor Chen either.
( spoiler alert: taylor freaking chen is a bitch. )
Traveling back to Tokyo in Japan was more dull and unexciting than she thought it out to be. It lacked the usual spark of enthusiasm she once felt in her middle-school years, the extra spring under the balls of her feet and the rebellious flames fanning within her chest that burns sososo much that it sparked hundreds and thousands of spiels scratched on her paper of complaints from self-righteous and overly ambitious adults.
