A/n: Me and my friend are writing this story together. So yea.

Jake p.o.v.

It was near 6:30 in the morning before I   even attempted to get ready for school.  Lazily,  I dragged my self downstairs and shook cereal into my bowl.  I was so tired at that point,  I ate it without milk.
"Dang,  mom." I said, " This cereal is a bit on the dry side. Is it off brand? "
My mom looked at me skeptically.
"Jake, you we're up again late last night, weren't you?"
"Yea, so." I was up playing borderlands until I finally fell asleep. I  looked down at my cereal, and continued to eat it.
"Jake, there's no milk in it. " She sighed. I once again  looked at my cereal bowl.
"I knew that. Totally knew that. Well, I am going to give my best effort to avoid yet another tardy." I shoved my seat from the table and headed to my room.

I chose a baggy pair of black sweatpants,  my gray vans, a large blue hoodie, and threw on my purple and white Joker snap back.
Just then, my mom came into my room saying,  "Jake,  you can't wear that to school." I groaned,  rolling my eyes.
"Fine, " she sighed in defeat. "At least put on some khakis."
"Whatever mom." I put on some khaki pants and put my sweats in a bag to put
on after I got to school.  I am such a rebel. I thought about  my best friends at
school, while looking at our 10th grade photo we took on the last day.
On the right was a boy with dark shoulder length hair.  Matthew. He had on a black T-shirt with his  favorite band on it. He always wore two black bracelets, which had silver spikes on them. I technically counted them as a weapon.
Next, was a really tall boy. Ezra. He had  a haircut that kind of flipped up at the top, near the front,  but was shaved at the sides. He had a dirty blond beard and nerdish glasses. I swore on my life that every thing that boy owned was covered in paint. He looks like a Hipster  in someway.
Then there was me. Unfortunetly, I hadn't cut my shaggy,  curly brown hair in a while, so it swooped just below my eyebrows.  I had on a yellow shirt with a lazy monkey on it that said,  all day,  every day.  My glasses we're large,  but not like Ezra's though.
"Jake,  the bus is out front!" My mother called from somewhere in the house.  I grabbed my bookbag,  which had almost nothing in it. I yanked my iPad off the plug so hard,  it probably  broke  and ripped the cord in half.
"Oops, oh well." I shrugged.  My front door was  open and I  jump from my doorway onto my lawn. I hit the ground running, literally.  The bus doors closed just behind me. I scanned the bus for Matthew. He was chilling in the back with his headphones in. The bus lurched forward, causing me to trip and stumble toward the back seats.
"Hey, Jake, I need you Not to step on me before I get to school." Matthew said. The thing about Matthew was he dispised being called Matt, so I never did call him that. He also had a really deep voice. Matthew wore thin rimmed glasses, that shaded black when he got in the sun. Though Ezra and I swore he never stays in the sun for too long  because he was so pale. I sat down beside him.
"I literally accomplished nothing this weekend, dude." I said. I showed my empty bookbag to him and he laughed drily. He didn't even smile. Over the weekend, we were supposed to do a report on some ancient society crap. Of course I didn't.
"That report was horse milk, dude." Matthew said. Ezra, Matthew, and I say horse milk instead of bull crap, just to be random and all. I laughed. The bus once again lurched after stopping at a light. Matthew didn't even move, but I rocked forward in my seat.

The bus slowed to a stop as it pulled in front of the high school.  Ezra was there waiting for us as usual. He drove to school because his mom bought him a car.
"Took you long enough." He said as we approached him.
"Good morning to you,  too,  bro." I said. Matthew started to go inside behind Ezra and me. Inside, lockers were slamming and the nerdy kids we're rushing to class 10 minutes before the warning bell rang.
Matthew was looking for someone. I didn't want to bother him. I had known Matthew for years  and he always had secrets he never told me or Ezra for that matter.  Besides, I had my secrets, too.
One which I never planned to tell anyone,  especially Matthew.

Okay so yea that's chapter one. And I didn't write it. Hopefully your could tell the different writing style. My friend wrote this hoped you liked it!
