The first week of freshman year had passed and Autumn was invited over Saturday night to have sleepover with her friends. Her friends included a couple of people. Autumn had met many people in the first week but everyone had already figured out their social groups. In Autumn's close group included Megan, Sophie, Tessa, and Carissa. The sleepover was held at Megan's house.
Megan cheered with Autumn. She had light brown skin, with dark chocolate hair. The one thing that Autumn noticed was the way that she wore no makeup but still had the perfect complexion. She was completely comfortable being who she was. Autumn could not imagine a life where she needed only her own approval.
Another one of Autumn's friends that would be attending the sleepover was her old friend from grade-school, Sophie. Sophie and Autumn had been friends since third grade and while some of her friends from grade-school had moved on from the "everlasting" friendship, Sophie and Autumn's had actually lasted through the summer and through this first week of high school. Sophie was drop dead gorgeous. From the way that her golden curls fell perfectly onto her shoulders and slightly into her back, to the way her eyes could look like the ocean one time and emerald green the next.  Autumn was happy that Sophie knew enough about who she was to accept all of her mistakes and still be kind.
Tessa was another friend from cheer. Autumn and Tessa had become friends through cheer. However Megan had known Tessa for far longer they had gone to school together since kindergarten. Tessa was a little harsh. She had long sandy blonde hair and blue beautiful eyes. However, she got what she needed and wanted do not doubt that. But Autumn guessed that was her thing , her it factor.
Carissa, a friend Autumn had met in World History class. They shared their hate for the class and bonded over it. Carissa's hair was frizzy but that did not make it any less gorgeous. It was brown maybe coppery, and it fell to just the bottom of her shoulder blade. Autumn would kill to have eyes that shimmered like Carissa's. They were as blue as the sea.
Autumn, while packing for this exciting sleepover contemplated, why would these wonderful, beautiful, and considerate people want to spend time with her? She thought, maybe there was something in her that she still needed to find.
