Andy's P.O.V.

I opened my bright blue and grey eyes, which were glazed over with exhaustion. I trained to sit up, but winced, a terrible and stabbing pain bringing small tears to the corner of my eyes. I let out a small and quiet cry, my eyes squeezed shut now, though froze when I felt a hand being laid on my forehead.

"Calm down, or you'll make yourself worse. Your left-hand-sided wing was snapped when you were in that storm. What the hell were you doing flying out there, anyways, you idiot?" A voice snapped, at first sounding calm and reassuring, though that changed a lot afterwards.

I laid back down, wincing again, though not as much. I felt something wrapped around my wing and a few places on my arms. Bandages. I thought to myself. Finally, I realized that whoever was talking had asked me a question. I blinked, examining her. Short, red hair, most likely dyed by the looks of it, slim stature, normal size and weight for the average white, American human female, and piercing blue eyes. I also noticed her outfit, a Batman sweater-hoodie, blue jeans, and black tennis shoes, most of which were now bloodied, probably with your own blood.

"Hello? Are you deaf and stupid? I'm trying to find out why you're here." She pressed on again, furrowing her brows. It was then that I noticed that my hands were tied together with five loops of duct tape behind my back, placed almost delicately behind my wings.

Probably doesn't trust me, I thought, Smart human.

My voice cracked weakly when I spoke, "I'm... I'm looking for an E-Ebony Shrew.... Do y-you know her?" I asked, looking up at the human before me. She seemed... Shocked?

"Ebony Shrew?" She asked, then glared, telling me she knew who that was. She quickly flipped me over, causing me to wince, and sliced off the tape with a small knife she had placed in her sweater pocket. "This better be good."

I stood up, flexing my sore arms, and raised an eyebrow, "And why, exactly, would you care about what I have to tell her? You shouldn't even see me-"

She cut me off, "Because, smart ass, I'm Ebony Shrew! That's why!" She retorted.

"Oh, well, then I have some news for you," I chuckled before kissing her hand, causing her to gasp.

"Who... Who are you?" Ebony panted, en eyebrow raised at me. Her confusion made me grin; she seemed so surprised. 'Mortals are almost always surprised,' I remembered from my training school.

I finally replied, "I, my friend, am Andy Bay, your guardian angel."
