I Can't Love You

Chapter One

"Miss Dawn, you are getting very sucessful these past months, I want you to go on a tour for a little longer. Is that fine with you?" My manager asks me. I nod politely. I used to have a manager that I was very close with but she quit because of family problems. Now I have this new lady that is very managery, if that;s even a word. She is just working 24/7.

"Thank you Jane. I'd love to have a longer tour, that just means I get to meet my fans more and whatever makes them happy suits me." She smiles and writes something down. "Mr. L.A Reid will be here in a little bit so just sit tight." She stands up and leaves me here alone. I look around the room for awhile.

"Hello Megan! Nice to see you again." L.A greets me. I stand up and hug him. "Hey L.A got any news?" I ask.

"Yeah, you know your tour is gonna be extended right?" I nod. "Well you are gonna be having an opening act because you're old one Megan Nicole can't be with you anymore." I'm not gonna lie, that was dissapointing. She is one of my best friends and now she can't go on tour with me anymore. 

"So who is my opening act?"

"They are a new band formed by Simon Cowell. There are five members; Niall, Zayn, Liam, Louis and Harry." When he said Harry, it bought back too manu bad memories of high school. I'm pretty sure Harry from this band, isn't Harry from high school. I sure hope so. 

"Okay that's cool. Will I be meeting them anytime soon?" He nods and checks his computer for the date.

"I will be with when you meet them which will be today in about 10 minutes so just go and have a quick snack and be right back okay?" L.A says.

"Yeah thanks so much for everything you've done for me. See you later." I grab my things and walk out of the room and downstairs to the cafe. 

"Hi what can I get you?" The waitress asks me.

"Can I have some coffee and a bagel?" I ask. I've been trying to keep out of the bad girl image. It's just not me. I hand her a $20. She types in my order, and hands me the change. "Keep it." 

"Thanks, the bagel nees a minute or so to roast a bit." She informs me. I nod and smile. I walk over to a table and check my twitter.

'@megan_dawn_official: getting coffe and a bagel for a small snack. Yum!

"Here is the bagel." The waitress comes over to the table and hands me it. 

"Thanks." I take the bagel and coffee and walk upstairs again. I knock on L.A's office, I open the door and see four boys sitting on the couch.

L.A introduces me to the four boys. "Hey Megan! Here is 4/5 of One Direction. The band that is gonna be your opening act." I wave at them and sit down in a chair. 

"Hey guys! I'm Megan, nice meeting you!" I say.

"Hi, I'm Liam. This is Niall, Louis and Zayne. Harry isn't here yet because he is running late, he had to go pick up his girlfriend." Liam says.

"Oh okay."

"So guys, Here is the business. Megan, we have been thinking. What would boost the popularity of you and One Direction?" I shrug. "Me and L.A would like you to date one of the boys." Simon suggests. 

"I thought it was just an opening act." I say.

"Megan this will help you on your career path." L.A says. I see Jane nod too.

"Fine, I'll do it if they are willing ot." I look over to the boys and they nod. "So which one will I be dating?"

"Well we thought about it and we think you should get to know them better and then pick one. 2/5 are single so you have that option." Simon says. 

"Okay that sounds fun! How about we do that today?" I looked over to the boys who haven't said anything yet. "Would you guys like to do that today?" They all nod.

"Do what today?" I hear a very familiar voice say near the door. I look over and see Harry from high school. I don't hink he notices me but I notice him. I tense up.

"We are going to be hanging out with Megan here and get to know her better." Niall says smiling. 

"Megan? Is that you?" Harry asks.

I nod. "Yup." I say in a weak voice. 

"You guys know each other?" Simon asks. 

We both nod, "We went to high school together." Harry says.

"More than that...." I mumble. I didn't mean for anyone to hear that but I guess Louis did.

"Did you say something Megan?" Louis asks. I shake my head. 

"Okay well that's settles. Have a nice day guys and check back with us tomorrow." Simon says. We all say bye but I stay behind to talk to Jane. 

"Hey Jane. Do you think this is a good idea?" 

"Well.. We will never know until you try right?" I nod, "They seem like nice guys, please just give ait a chance, you might find the one for you." I crack a smile. I might get used to Jane. I might open up to her. 

"Thanks, bye!" I walked out and catch up with the boys. 

"So, Megan how are you now?" Harry asks, trying to make small talk. 

"Fine." I say trying not to continue the talk but Harry has a different idea. 

"Please don't be like this. I'm sorry for what I did." I roll my eyes at the lame apology. Niall nudges me and asks me what happened. I jus shake my head and he drops it. 

"So... What do you guys want to do today?"

"How about we talk about our past and forgive and forget?" Harry suggest.

"You wanna talk about it that much huh?" He nods.

"Fine, we'll talk about it now." I grab his arm and pull him into an empty office.

"Let me go first." He says. "How did you become this?"
