Kaneki continued to hug me for a while longer. My Kagune disappeared as I calmed down. I moved away from him and sat in the grass, and Kaneki did the same. "The moon looks like it's smiling, heh." I said tilting my head to look at the Cresent moon to where it looked like the stars were smiling. "Hm? Yeah." Kaneki agreed. Thunder roared behind us making us both jump a little and look back. "Looks like it's gonna rain...." I said sighing. I stood up and held my hand put to Kaneki. "Are you okay?" He asked. " "what do you mean?" Kaneki got up on his own. "I mean are you going to be okay now? You'll come back with me?" He said. "Yeah. I'm alright..for now..." Kaneki kissed the top of my head and grabbed my hand. "Come on. " He gave me a small smile. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Home."
The next morning, I woke up in Kaneki's old bed from when we were younger. I got out of bed, noticing Kaneki still sleeping, and looked out the window. "Hmm...I think I'll go see Hinami today..." I whispered to my self so Kaneki didn't wake up. I went into his closet and borrowed a t-shirt and I already had pants of my own. "It's supposed to be cold today...so I'll just borrow his blue jacket as well. He doesn't wear it any more so it shouldn't matter. After I got dressed, I wrote a note saying I was going to Antekiu, and left.
"Damn..it is cold.." I sighed. About half way down the street, I was stopped by a voice and the sound of a bike. "Hey! Yo Kaneki!" The voice yelled. I stood still until the sound got closer. "Hey! Why haven't you been returning my text, baka?" He had a playful tone. I turned around to see a boy with orange hair and smiling brightly, but it soon went to a puzzled look when he saw my face. "H-Hide?!" I was shocked. "(F/n)?!" So was he. "You came back from America! Both me and Kaneki missed you so much!" He smiled. "America?...what are you talking about? " I questioned. "What do you mean 'what am I talking about'? You went to a college in America right?" He asked. "What? I never left...Kaneki must have told him a story for why i wasn't around when Kaneki first found out about me.." Oh! Yeah, sorry. I'm sorry I never said goodbye.." I said. "It's alright, Hey, you dyed your hair white?" "Shit!" "Yeah. I thought it would look good." I lied. "So where are you going right now?" Hide asked. "I was on my way to Antekiu. " I said. I looked over Hide's shoulder to see Kaneki looking around a building. "What is he doing? " I thought. "That's cool. I was heading to work but a cup of coffee sounds nice. Can I join you?" "Yeah, sure!" I smiled and he just walked his bike the whole way.
"Onee-chan!" A small voice called out to me. "Hello Hinami. " I waved. She came over and sat beside me when Hide and I sat down. "Onee-chan, I missed you!" She hugged me. "I missed you too, Hinami." I smiled. "Could you go tell Touka-chan that we need two coffees?" I asked. "Mhm! Okay Onee-chan!" She skipped off to be hind the counter. "Say, (F/n). I feel like..since your back now..Will you go on a date with me?" Hide asked blushing. I blushed too and felt guilty for what I have to tell him. "Well, Hide..I already have a boyfriend." I said looking down. "Oh...I'm sorry. It was a stupid question." He chuckled. "No it wasn't. I'm really sorry.." I said when Hinami put our cups on the table. "It's time I get going. I don't want to late for work. It was nice meeting up with you again." He smiled and gave me a quick hug and left. "Same, Hide."
