The vet told me that she didn't belong to anyone, so I could adopt her. My heart fluttered, I had never adopted an animal before. But I knew that cats, especially kittens, needed a lot of love, attention, and other things. I also knew that kittens were a lot of work and I was prepared. So I officially adopted her and named her Coffee. I brought her to my small apartment and as soon as I put her down she strutted over to the carpet with an over-confident gait and laid down on the carpet. The carpet is right beneath the window so she basked in the sunlight. Then I got my purse and keys and we left to go to the store for pets. There I got her a cat bed, kitten chow, some jingling cat toys, a litter box, litter, and a food and water bowl. When we came back to the apartment, I put her cat bed on the carpet next to the window and set up her litter box, water, and food station. She loved it. When night came I put her in her cat bed and then went to my bed to go to sleep. I woke in the middle of the night and heard loud mews. Wondering what could be wrong, I got up to look for what might be troubling Coffee, but I couldn't find her. I decided to go back to my room to see if she was there, and when I walked in she was standing right beside my bed trying to climb up. So I picked her up and placed her cat bed on the unoccupied side of my bed and laid her there and she quietly drifted to sleep.
