Brooke's POV:
As the helicopter began to land, my heart was beating a mile a minute. Being on Survivor has been a big dream of mine ever since I started watching it when I was around seven or eight. So being on this show right now is hugely exciting for me. Of course, with being a huge fan of the show brings major strategy. I know the game so well that I have learned what to do, and what mistakes to avoid. All that I really need to do is play my cards right, and align with the right people.
"Everyone out!" an official yelled, ushering each castaway out.
I jumped at the sound of his loud booming voice. Every castaway burst into action, jumping out of the helicopter one after another onto the plush sand. But as we were all hopping out, thoughts rushed through my mind. There has to be some sort of twist going on in this season. There just has to be. But I just need to figure out what it is. My suspicion is that there are returning players here somewhere. I’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
Squinting, I jumped out of the helicopter and onto the sand. Sand was being blown everywhere by the wind from the helicopter blades, along with my hair. Jogging away from the helicopter, I joined about six other people on the purple mat. We were all already divided into tribes prior to arriving here. That lowers my expectations of returning players a bit, but not by much. It could still happen, shaking up the game before we even start.
"Welcome, to Survivor," Jeff announced once we were all separated.
We all burst into cheers, pumped to be here. But I couldn't really focus on that. My whole focus was on my strategy, and how it would work. An obvious tactic is to act dumb, but that only works with stupid people. And these people don't really look stupid- well, perhaps a few people on my tribe do.
"This season, we have a few "tools" that could possibly help you in this game. That is if you use it to your advantage." Jeff said. "Come on out!"
I was right! I so called it! My stomach tensed up at the thought of who could be returning. My thoughts spun with all the possibilities. It could be someone that the general public despised, or someone who was very well liked. But my thoughts were put to rest when three people came running around the corner. But these weren't any normal three. They were the Three Amigos alliance from last season- consisting of Eddie, Reynold, and my personal favorite, Malcolm. The sight of them just made my smile and excitement grow. This game just got a lot more interesting.
"Hey guys." Reynold said with a smile, standing beside Jeff.
"Last season, these three led one of the most shocking tribal councils in the history of Survivor. But as they did that, they were on the bottom.” Jeff informed us.
Before he could get more out, clapping and cheering filled the air once again. But obviously there was more to it than them just coming here. I can see it, just by looking at the expressions on their faces. Something huge was about to be pulled on us right now. Possibly even a Survivor first.
"But there’s a twist. They will be here as coaches, to lead you through this game. Meaning they cannot be voted out at tribal council."
Gasps rang through the air, along with murmurs. For sure, this is definitely a Survivor first. Nothing like this has ever been done. This twist has appeared on other shows, but certainly not on Survivor. That obviously foiled the plan to get the returnees out on the first opportunity.
Jeff began handing the three buffs, revealing what tribes they were on. Reynold went to the tribe in orange, Eddie went to the tribe wearing green, and Malcolm got sent to our tribe. That probably boosted our chance of winning up, seeing as that the people standing around me don't really seem as up to par when it comes to athletics.
