After the immunity challenge- Eddie's camp- Aria's POV- Day 9
The day got worse when we lost. Lily and I hadn't found the idol- yet, anyway. Or told Eddie. Tonight is tribal council, so we had to find it now or never. Taking the clue, we read it over again.
Where the compass points west, look for water- that's where it's best.
"But we don't have a compass!" Lily whispered harshly.
Frustrated, she had basically given up after reading it. I rolled my eyes.
"Lily, the sun rises in the east and sets in the west."
Her eyebrow furrowed. It was probably about 2 in the afternoon. With two cameramen staring their cameras right at us, I looked up in the sky. Sure enough, the sun was pointed slightly in one direction. West.
I dragged a confused Lily in the right direction.
"Aria, this is hopeless."
I laughed. Hopeless? Not even. In fact, the clue gave it away.
Going into deep business, we began to search for water. I had Lily stop, and soon the cameramen stopped too. I listened for the trickle of water flowing just ahead. Pushing leaves out of the way, we had found a mini waterfall. And, suspiciously, there was a hole behind the water. Bravely, I stuck my hand in the hole and took a... snake out of it.
"AHH!" I squealed before covering my mouth and throwing the snake on the ground.
Shivering, hoping that no one heard, I began searching until... A hole was uncovered by pushing brush away and I found it. I had found the idol.
"Lily," I whispered furiously as she continued to check. "I found it!"
She looked as I pulled a idol all rapped up in a little bundle with a "Congrats" note. She squealed and hugged me.
"So we use it whenever one of us is in danger?" she asked as we stopped squealing.
I nodded and we smiled as I tucked it in my khaki pocket as we trudged along.
As we headed out of the forest, we got some suspicious looks from other tribe members as we instantly went to Eddie to talk to him about our voting idea. We didn't tell him about finding the idol- it was our little secret.
"Eddie," I whispered, "Let's vote Jessica out."
No one was nearby. He nodded- he listened to anything I said. 3 against 4. Hm, one more person needs to leave. Glancing out at the tribe, I zeroed in on Ian. He liked me enough to do what I said. Now we would be leading 4-3.
I ran to Ian, who was just sitting there looking hot but doing nothing. All alone.
"Ian?"
"YEAH?" he spun around.
His voice is especially loud.
"Shush!" I hissed as people gave us strange looks. I sat next to Ian and glanced around. Except getting a jealous look from Eddie, no one was paying close attention.
"Would you vote for anybody if I was?"
His eyebrows furrowed, "Huh?"
"Shhh."
He sighed, whispering, "Huh?"
"Would you ever think of voting out... say, Jessica?"
"Is that who you're voting out?" thankfully, it was quiet enough for no one to glance over and catch our words.
