Then it all hits at once. I hear the all the windows shatter. Upstairs there are screams and thuds. No, no, no, no...I can tell every one of the kids are terrified. The one second I suppress a smile is when I realize how silly we must look. It immediately leaves my face. I hear the walls being torn at, the roof peeling off the house. Just please let everyone be inside... We're all screaming, even me. Why? Why this day. Why when everyone was in the same house? Just why? Too much noise. Too much fear. Too much everything. My tablet is still on the floor, still playing the video. I stare at it. We all stare. It shows the tornado destroying everything. We see it all. More ripping, tearing, winds pull at the house. Then I see it in the video. Too much to look at. I see it nearly making a b-line for our house. I look away and have everyone brace themselves. I feel hot tears running down my face. Tears expecting death. The winds scream through the gap between the floor and bathroom door. They scream to. I hug them as if my life depends on it. The lights are out, we're sitting in a bathtub, and a tornado rages over our house. So much for a normal day... Too much to think about. I hear walls cracking, the ceiling crumbling. Its all going to end, I know it. Its just all to much
