**AIDAH POV**
"Do you ever stop eating?" I asked as Mel devoured her 5th slice of pizza.
"I like food." she shrugged reaching for the breadsticks.
The doorbell rang, followed by a knock.
I stood and walked to the door, "who is it?"
"Hey its Lilian, Nicki told me to drop by."
I opened the door.
"Hi Lilian, I'm Aidah. Would you like to come in?"
"Yeah please."
She was only very slightly older than Nicki.
"Do you know Nicki well?" I asked.
"She's not really that social." She replied.
"Oh.. I thought so."
"We have hung out a few times and stuff though." she added, "You must go to the school she works at right?"
"Yeah, freshman year." I replied "I just moved here in October so Nicki was helping me get adjusted to school."
"Where'd you live before?"
"Most recently, Dubai. My family used to move a lot so I was home schooled all my life." I explained.
"That's so cool."
"Yeah.." I sighed, "let me get you acquainted with Mel."
I stood and walked into the kitchen.
"Who's at the door?"
"Lilian, Nicki's neighbor. Come meet her she's so nice." I explained.
We walked into the living room.
"Hi" Lilian stood and shook Mel's hand.
"Hi I'm Melissa. You're....... Lilian right?"
"Yeah.. Anyways, I was just dropping by." she walked towards the door, "have a great night."
She left.
I texted Nicki:
_Your neighbor Lilian stopped by
-Is everything alright?
_yeah she just stopped in to check on us
-did she leave?
_yeah why?
-She doesn't live near me
_wait what?
-Just keep the door locked I should be home soon
_whats wrong?
-Just do what I told you. I will explain later.
_ok...
-Actually go into Joey's room and stay in there until I get there. Turn off all the lights in the house.
_okay.
"Mel.. We've got trouble." I warned.
"What?"
"Somethings up with Lilian. Nicki says for us to lock the doors, turn off all the lights and sit in Joey's room." I explained.
"Well okay then..." She shrugged, "Ima close up the back of the house, you got the front. Meet you at the stairs."
"Okay"
I turned off the lights in the living room and saw that the kitchen and dining room lights were turned off by Mel already. I locked the front door and turned off the hallway lights. I grabbed Mel's hand and we tiptoed upstairs. We turned off the lights and crept into Joey's room.
"Should we be scared?" I whispered.
"Text me.. I dont wanna wake Joey."
**NICKI POV**
"Lance we gotta get home." I warned in the midst of texted Aidah.
"Is Joey okay?"
"Yeah she's fine. But we need to go now." I reiterated.
"Can you at least tell me what's the rush?"
I took a deep breath, "Lilian visited them."
"Come on." He grabbed my hand, leaving money on the table for the waitor.
We got into the car and pulled off.
"I told them to lock down the house and lay low." I explained as I received a text from Aidah.
-Oh thank god you're home.
"Babe," my breathing went heavy.
"Whats wrong?"
"She's in the house."
_I'm not home.
-we heard the door open downstairs.
_lay low... I'm calling the police.
-okay.
_take Joey and go into the closet. Theres two laundry baskets, one of you should be able to fit in one with Joey and hide beneath the clothes. The other one can hide in the other.
-k
I figured while they were getting the hiding situation together I had time to dial 911.
"9-1-1 whats your emergency?"
"Hi, I'd like to report a break in."
"Whats the address?"
"142 W. Lynnwood Ave."
"Alright we are sending someone over right now."
"Hurry." I hung up.
_...
-she's walking in the hallway...
_stay quiet police are on their way
-If they knock and she answers..
_ when you hear her go downstairs to answer the door, go to the balcony off of my bedroom and get the police's attention.
-okay..
**AIDAH POV**
I heard Joey's bedroom door open.
"Girlss, I know you're in here." Lilian sang.
I sure hope Joey doesn't wake up.
