Levy groaned as she took a seat next to her Celestial Spirit mage best friend, Lucy Heartfillia, and buried her face in her arms. Her last job was exhausting and she still had a couple bruises to boot. She glanced up at her bickering teammates and groaned again, louder this time.
"Wanna tell me what's up?" Lucy asked as she took a sip from her mug. She glanced down at Levy and made a face. "Jesus you look like crap. What happened?"
Levy growled and pointed to her teammates. "They're at it again," she sighed. Lucy leaned her ear towards the bickering men to hear better.
"If you had moved your fat ass out of the way then I could've gotten Levy out of there and saved her!" Jet yelled.
"I was busy trying to distract them!" Droy yelled back. "Besides if you had paid attention to where you were going then you wouldn't have run into my fat ass. It's not like I'm hard to miss."
Lucy nodded towards them. "Care to explain or should I ask them?"
Levy sighed and propped her head on her hand. "We got attacked by bandits on our last job and Jet tried to play hero by running to my rescue but he ran right into Droy and they knocked each other out cold, leaving me to deal with the bandits alone. I took care of them but got banged up a bit in the process."
Lucy huffed, her friends obsessive teammates were always going at it over Levy which usually left her to handle things on her own. She opened her mouth to say something reassuring to her best friend but what came out was a shriek as she pulled Levy down under the table in time to avoid another table being tossed across the guild hall. The two girls peeked up from under their safe spot to see the obvious spiky head suspect storm over the the resident ice wizard and habitual stripper, Grey Fullbuster.
"Oy ice-for-brains!" Natsu growled. "What's this I hear about you ducking out on us to do a job with Juvia?"
"Oh this will be chaotic," Lucy murmured.
Levy cocked her head to the side and poked her friend to get her attention. "Since when does Grey go on jobs with Juvia?" Sure they were friends and it was no secret Juvia was was obsessed with Grey on an almost unhealthy level but Grey always just ignored her advances.
Lucy ducked back under the table, narrowly escaping the chair that followed the table, this time thrown by Grey. "Well it turns out all he needed was a little shove in the right direction from a certain armor clad friend," she winked at Levy.
"What's it matter hothead?" Grey and Natsu's fight continued. "You go on missions all the time, just you and Lucy," by this point the two mages have slammed their heads together.
"Yeah but that's normal," Natsu hollered. "You always just take jobs with members of our team."
Levy and Lucy gulped as they heard the sound of clinking metal. "Speak of the devil," Levy murmured.
"Would you two knock it off?" Erza growled as she pulled the fighting mages apart by their ears. "Natsu, leave Grey alone he can go on a job with Juvia if he wants to. And Grey, you better get going or you'll miss your train. Juvia should be there waiting for you already," she released Grey, who ran off completely oblivious to the fact that he shed his shirt sometime in the process. She waited until Grey left to release Natsu so he didn't try to continue his fight. Erza then turned her wrath on the still bickering Jet and Droy. "Will you two shut up? Obviously Levy didn't need to be saved since she defused the situation herself with no help from the two of you I might add," the two mages hung their head in defeat and sat down.
"What are you doing down there Luce?" Levy and Lucy looked up to see the fire dragon slayer poking his head under the table and stare questioningly at his partner.
