Chapter 3~ Trainee Corps

(N) POV
I look outside the small carriage that's carrying us to a certain place..
"Oi we are nearly there so start getting ready!!" The driver of the carriage said.. The trip is quite for the whole time. The trip includes: Me, Michael, Caleb, Penelope and 4 other random people. It was silent when a girl with black hair in a ponytail started to speak up.
"Um, W-why are you g-guys going to join in the trainee corps?" She looked at me. Am I going to tell her? Nhe, she won't believe us. I'll just make up a story And beside they are just going too bust us when the time comes when my mother ask Questions about us a-
"S-sorry to bother you, I-if you f-feel uncomfortable then don't a-answer." Look likes she have low self esteem..
But-
"We are joining because we wan't freedom.." I told her plainly.
"Nhe? Well you need to achieve high just to get that.." A boy with blonde hair started to join the conversation ..

"Oh, I'm sorry to bother you I am Shanaia, and I'm just curious that's all" the girl with black locks said reaching out for my hands.. I shook her hand firmly.
"(N). This one here is my brother, Michael, the boy with gray locks over there is Caleb and the girl with red hair is Penelope" I point at each one of them.. Michael took Shanaia's grip and shook her hand.
"Nice to meet you" Michael shook her hand..
"We can just introduce ourselves you know."Caleb said looking at Michael and Shanaia..
" oh I forgot, the boy with blonde hair is Brandon, The boy with black hair the same as me is Lance, and that girl with gray hair is Elizabeth" Shanaia said.
"How old are you guys by the way?" Lance said.
"I'm 28 .. Yup I'm old, very old but a lot said that I look young." I told them smiling.
"You should smile more it suits you" Brandon said.
"Thanks." I felt the pink color creeping threw my face.
"I'm 22" Michael said
"I'm 27" Penelope and Caleb said in unison, they looked at each other and started to glare..
"Are they siblings to?" Shanaia said. Pointing at the two of them.
"No, they just act like it.. And they used to fight to." I told her like it's the normal thing they do.
"Huh? Why?"
"Nhe it's just petty little fights." I shrug
I felt the carriage came to a stop..
"Get off." The driver said.
We got off the carriage and went in the training grounds.
"Oh hello! You must be the new cadets come with me" a girl in a trainee corps uniform said and lead us to the barracks.
"Girls and boys have different rooms" the girl said then a boy appeared and told the boys to come with him.. We walk threw a hall and we came in to a stop infront of a door. We came in and drag our bags in..
"You must be lucky" the girl said.
"Why is that?" I asked her.
"The 104th squad are going to train the 105th squad for this year" when I heard the news I started to smile widely. The 104th squad are like my heroes, I even collected the newspapers that consist of a story about them.
"Lucky indeed" I murmured.
"Well I got to go, training will start 7:00 am sharp so don't be late or Shadis will be cranky"
" Who is Shadis?"Shanaia asked.
"You can find it out tomorrow yourselves" the girl smirked and left.
I observed the room and there are 2 bunk beds. Each bunk beds are both in sides.. Penelope and I took the bunk bed at the right while Shanaia and Elizabeth took the left bunk.
The room is pretty big so it gave us space to move freely.Beside the door are 2 cupboards which is incredulously big.. I started to unpack my things and cleanly put my clothes at the cupboard.
"Hey (N)?" Penelope caught my attention and I looked at her.
"What?"
"Can I take the top bunk."
"Yeah sure" I agreed
"oh and you should sleep now.."
I looked at the time, 9:30pm, seems like I've been unpacking like forever.
I looked at my bags and saw a lot of clothes still need to be unpacked.
"I have to unpack Penny" I called her by her childhood nickname slightly teasing her.
"Didn't I told you to stop calling me that." She pouted infront of me.
"Yeah, yeah sure Penny"
"Tss" she clicked her tongue and rolled her eyes.
"Sleep now.. You're hard waking up and besides Shanaia and Elizabeth are already sleeping "
I told her. Looking at the sleeping form of Elizabeth and Shanaia.
"You too"
"Ugh, fine"
We closed our lights climbed on our bed . I slowly closed my eyes but quickly opened it again when I heard Penelope.
"(N)? Do you think that we can be great at training"
"Dunno, it depends on our outcome."
"But do you believe that we may be able to stand in the top ten?"
"Yeah, besides they already trained me when I was young"
"What do you mean?"
"When father was alive we used to be poor, and he is the one that's training me" I began
