After waiting almost 3 hours for Josh to wake up, I decide to go check up on him. I get up and walk over to his room, the third door to the left. When I get there, he's gone. All of his things, his bags, his backpack, any sign of him, gone. Even the bed was remade. I decide to text him, there must be a explanation. "Josh? Where are you? What happened?" I'm anxious for an answer. I go downstairs and pour myself a bowl of Fruit Loops. Where could he be? Why did he ditch me? Is this a dream? No, it can't be a dream. And if it is, I want to wake up. I constantly check my phone for texts, only to be disappointed. I can't believe this. The longer it takes him to reply, the angrier I get. I finish my cereal and dump my bowl into the sink. He should've answered by now. He always would've answered by now. Is he avoiding me? What a jerk. I guess the guy I first met at the coffee shop was the real Josh. "BUZZ BUZZ. BUZZ BUZZ." My phone sings my ringtone. I quickly pull it out and answer, having no time to check who is calling. "Hello?" I ask, hoping it isn't an telemarketing call. "Ashley?" It's Josh. "Where'd you go? I couldn't find you in the guest room next to me." I reply, almost reciting my own song. "I have something to tell you Ashley. Promise me you'll be ok." Josh says calmly. What could he possibly have to tell me? An explanation for why he left? "Ok... Josh what's going on here." I reply, "You're acting strange." He doesn't reply for a minute.. So we both sit in silence waiting for someone to speak. "I'm a fake." Josh finally says. A fake? What's that supposed to mean? "A what?" I say, I don't know what else I should tell him. "I'm a fake. I'm apart of People Magazine... I wanted to get inside on you, for a good story. I'm sorry Halsey." He says. He doesn't love me. He didn't care. He knew I was Halsey all along. "Ash?" He asks when I don't reply. "Fuck you." I say, then hang up. I can't believe he would do this to me. I run up to the bathroom and cry in the corner, leaning against the sink. I lay my phone down next to me, and cry into my knees. How could he do this. "Damnit.." I say in sobs. Josh didn't even care. He just wanted a story.
