Take a Chance

Chapter 2

Lucy's pov:

Its Friday. Only got one day of work left before the weekend. Don't get me wrong I love my job its just that the days sometimes drag and you sometimes have to deal with fussy customers.  As per usual I was sat watching friends reruns on the sofa as Jess came in.

"You ready" She said.

" Yup" I replied. She only has today left then tomorrow she going on tour with ONE DIRECTION as their stylist. I'm so jealous but I am happy for her. I picked up my bag, phone and keys and walked out of the flat to my car.

15 minutes later and we had arrived at Starbucks where we worked. We walked through the door and were greeted by our boss Jade.

"Morning girls" she said.

"Morning jade" we said at the same time.

"so this is your last day here before you go on tour Jess" she replied.

"yep I am so excited" Jess said.

"I thought you would be, now you better get to work, people are waiting" She said before walking away. We went into the back and put are bags down. We picked up are aprons and walked back to the front. Jess was at the counter serving and I was cleaning tables. Fun. 

So today happened to be one of those days that dragged.... my favourite kind. After cleaning the last table i looked at the clock. Finally it was Five O'clock. We can go home. I went and collected our stuff while Jess said goodbye to everyone. When she had finished we walked to the car and drove home. When we got home we ordered take away . We had pizza, which is our favourite!! It was delicious as always! When we were done we cleaned up and the we finally sat down on the sofa.

"Oh my gosh I totally forgot I need to pack" Jess said.

"haha yeah you do, need any help?" I asked.

"nah i will be fine thanks for the offer". She said before running up stairs. I just laughed and got up to turn on the telly. Would you look at that, more friends reruns! My favourite! I just love Joey!!!

Jess's pov:

So i had one of those moments where I had a massive mind blank and totally forgot that I am going on tour tomorrow. I thought I could relax for the night but oh boy was I wrong. I ran up the stairs to go pack my things for the tour. I ran into my room and pulled out my purple suitcase. Its my favourite. I went over to my closet and packed all the clothes I needed. Which would be most because I am going to be there for a long time. I then packed my shoes. Then a couple bags, make up and anything else I though I needed. I ended up with one suitcase and a couple bags. You can never have to much stuff I thought to my self. Once I was done I went down stairs. Lucy was turning the telly off.

"Time for bed its 11 O'clock" She said.

" Ohhh I was up there for a long time wasn't I" I replied.

" Yes, yes you were" she replied.

Lucy's Pov: 

We ran up stairs to our bedrooms. I got in my PJ'S and cleaned my teeth. When I was done I went over to my bed and peeled back the covers. I got in and snuggled down into my warm bed. I then turned my light off and prepared myself to sleep.

I tossed and turned but I couldn't sleep. I just layed there thinking. I was thinking about how Jess was going off tomorrow. How I wont see her for months. How the house is going to be so quiet without her. How i'm going to miss her so much. That was my final thoughts before I finally managed to fall asleep.

The next morning:

Jess's Pov:

I was awoken the next morning by my alarm. I seriously hate the sound of it. Seriously who invented alarms. They are the most annoying object in the universe. They ruin the best night snoozes and the best dreams! Damn I hate them so much. I once again eventually managed to hit snooze and plucked up enough courage (which also was incredibily difficult) to jump out of bed and into the shower. Half an hour later I was out. I walked over to my wardrobe and pulled out my favourite grey jumper which had LOVE written across it in pink and my favourite skinny jeans. I then put on my converses and and a light touch of make up and I was ready for the day ahead.

I walked down stairs thinking I would see Lucy in her usual spot watching friends reruns which she always tends to be doing. However this time she wasn't there. That was strange. She's always up. She's probably just sleeping I thought to myself. I went and got some breakfast and sat and watched telly. I ended up watching a crime show. I do love a good mystery. When I had finished eating I cleaned up. I then realised that Lucy still wasn't up. I ran up stairs and knocked on her door. No answer. I walked in and she wasn't in there. Really, the day I leave she is not here. Great. Eventually I saw a note on her bed.

It said: Hey Jess, just gone for a walk see you later love Lucy xx

Just at that moment the door bell decided to ring. I ran down stairs and opened the door. Stood there right in front of me were the five members of One Direction. I couldn't believe my eyes. Where's Lucy when the best things happen.....

Lucy's Pov:

When I woke up this morning I decided I needed to get some air so I decided to go for a walk. My best friend was leaving today. I walked around the park and then to Starbucks for a coffee. I know its strange I work there all week and I still go back. They just happen to make the best coffee. Just as I walked out of the door I got a text from Jess.

It said: Where are you? Come home now!!:) xx

I replied Just coming out of Starbucks what's up? xx 

I started walking. Then I got another text:

Just hurry :) x x

I wonder why she wants me to hurry I thought

Okay dokey see ya soon :) x x x 

After about ten minutes I arrived home. I walked through the door and hung up my jacket.

" Jess i'm here whats up?" I asked walking into the living room. I looked up to find five boys sitting on my sofa Oh my gosh it's one direction I thought, trying not to scream. I cannot believe my eyes. Then once o had finally got over the inital shock it came back to me... my best friend...shes leaving.
